Hezbollah is reportedly paying the families of its fighters killed in Syria to keep quiet about the circumstances surrounding their relatives’ deaths.

According to a source in the Lebanese port city of Tripoli, which has been wracked by deadly clashes between militias supporting different sides in the Syrian civil war, the Iranian-backed group is paying $25,000 to families of operatives killed fighting Syrian rebel forces, apparently in an attempt to conceal the true extent of its support for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Lebanese authorities have identified the second suicide bomber who attacked the Iranian embassy in Beirut this week as a Palestinian man with ties to a fugitive Lebanese Islamist cleric, a security source said on Saturday.

First Syrian baby born Israel

 

Israeli soldiers evacuates a 20 yr-old pregnant Syrian woman to Ziv Medical Center in Safed.

 

 

 
A pregnant Syrian woman gave birth at Safed’s Ziv Medical Center on Sunday morning.

Her son is the first baby from a mother fleeing Syria’s civil war to be born in Israel.

When the mother realized there was no one in Syria who could deliver her, she asked to be taken to the border, where she hoped Israeli soldiers would pick her up and send her to an Israeli medical center, she said.

“I was very afraid to go, but I was even more worried about giving birth at home by myself,” she added.

Syria mortars pound Golan Heights again

 

Two shells fired from the Syrian side of the border land at the foot of Tel Fares. No reported injuries.

Two mortar shells fired from Syrian territory at around noon Monday landed in an open area in the Israeli-controlled part of the Golan Heights, near Tel Fares. There were no reports of injury, and it remains unclear if any damage was caused. IDF forces were sweeping the area.

Under siege & starving, since PA President Mahmoud Abbas refused to assist fellow Palestinians from the al-Yarmouk camp in Syria, the local imam has given them permission to eat cats and dogs.

In his Friday sermon, an imam at the Palestinian Al-Yarmouk camp south of Damascus gave local residents permission to eat dead cats and dogs. The camp has been under siege for three months, the humanitarian situation there has severely deteriorated and the supply of food has not been steady, reports Shalom Toronto.

An IDF Tamuz missile destroyed Wednesday afternoon a Syrian cannon which had fired two shells into Israeli territory earlier in the day and lightly injured two soldiers.

During the incident in the northern Golan Heights, one soldier sustained light wounds from shrapnel, while another suffered from severe shock.

2 IDF Soldiers Injured In Golan Heights From Syrian Mortar Fire

2 Israeli soldiers were wounded from a mortar shell that fell next to them, on the northern Golan Heights.

Two Israeli soldiers were slightly wounded by cross-border fire in the Golan Heights facing Syria.

A mortar shell exploded in the northern Golan Heights. It is not known whether the attack was spillover from the ongoing Syrian civil war or intentional.

According to preliminary reports, one of the soldiers was injured from shrapnel fragments and the other had suffered from shock as a result from the fall.

Both soldiers were initially treated for their moderate wounds at the scene by Magen David Adom medics, however, the pair will receive further treatment at a nearby hospital. Continue Reading »

Report: Jewish graves destroyed in Syria by Al-Qaida-linked terrorists

 

According to Fars news agency & other Iranian media outlets, Al-Nursa Front has reportedly demolished ancient Jewish mausoleums in Syria’s city of Aleppo.

Al-Qaida-linked terrorists have allegedly demolished several ancient Jewish mausoleums in the northern Syrian city of Aleppo, Iranian media reported Tuesday.

The graves were located in the historical town of Tadif, according to the semi-official Iranian Fars news agency and other Iranian news outlets.

The terrorists reportedly belong to the al-Qaida-backed al-Nusra Front.

Putin: Syria’s chemical WMD are response to Israeli nukes

 

Russian President Putin echoes Assad’s explanation as to why Syria developed chemical arms.

Putin also says he cannot be 100% sure Damascus will dispose of all its WMDs.

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday echoed comments by Syrian President Bashar Assad suggesting that Damascus’ chemical weapons arsenal is in fact a response to Israel’s alleged nuclear project.

Speaking to journalists in Russia, Putin remarked that Syria’s chemical weapons were created as an “alternative” to Israel’s nuclear weapons. “Israel has technological supremacy and does not require nuclear arms,” he said.
