Israelis who believe the Temple Mount should remain in Israeli hands must take urgent action, Likud MK Moshe Feiglin warned Thursday.

Feiglin, who heads the Jewish Leadership faction of the Likud party, visited the Temple Mount on Thursday despite knowing he would find it locked to Jews, as a display of protest.

In an “unprecedented” move, police on Wednesday informed Jewish groups that the Temple Mount will be closed to all non-Muslims until at least the end of Ramadan, on 11th August. Continue Reading »

Temple Mount’s Imam Threatens Europe & the US

An Islamic cleric warned the United States government last Friday in a sermon at the Temple Mount’s Al Aqsa Mosque to “take its hands off Muslims.”

The service was led by Imam Al Hammouri, a member of the Jerusalem-based pan-Islamic Hizb ut-Tahrir (party of Liberation) organization, founded in 1953. The group, which boasts a worldwide membership of approximately one million across 40 countries, is dedicated to establishing a worldwide Islamic Caliphate (Muslim Empire) that will force Islamic law upon all of its subjects. Temple Mount closed on Tisha B’av to Jewish visitors

Islamic terror prevails on Temple Mount, Judaism’s most Holy site. Jews bared from entry to prevent Arab violence.

 

JERUSALEM — The Jerusalem Police closed the Temple Mount to Jewish visitors a day after Arabs protested such visits.

The closure on Tuesday coincided with the fast of Tisha B’av, a day of Jewish mourning for the destruction of the two Jewish Temples that were located on the site.

Asking if the Temple Mount is really ours is a legitimate question

 

For the last 46 years, Jews have not been allowed to pray on Temple Mount, and few Jews have even visited.

Currently, most people aren’t even complaining, but a recent seminar on the topic concluded unequivocally: More Jews need to frequent Judaism’s most holy site.

FOUND: Earliest alphabetical written text ever uncovered in Jerusalem near Temple Mount

Working near the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, Hebrew University of Jerusalem archaeologist Dr. Eilat Mazar has unearthed the earliest alphabetical written text ever uncovered in the city.

The inscription is engraved on a large pithos, a neckless ceramic jar found with six others at the Ophel excavation site. According to Dr. Mazar, the inscription, in the Canaanite language, is the only one of its kind discovered in Jerusalem and an important addition to the city’s history. Continue Reading »

Israeli Minister: Time to rebuild Jerusalem Temple

Senior Israeli minister says it’s time to build a real Temple (not a synagogue) on the Temple Mount.

An Israeli cabinet minister last week publicly stated that perhaps the time has come to rebuild the biblical Temple on Jerusalem’s Temple Mount.

Most Israelis has no aspirations of rebuilding the Temple. Even among those who would like to see the Temple restored, most do not believe Israel can undertake something so controversial absent a direct act of God.

Arabs say ‘No’ to Israel’s Western Wall plans for egalitarian prayer-site

PA religious affairs minister says replacing Mugrabi Bridge to Temple Mount for egalitarian section may “push all of us to new conflicts and problems,” stressing the Western Wall is an Islamic holy site.

B’nai Brith Canada visits the Temple Mount to witness raw antisemitism

Canadian B’nai Brith delegation felt humiliated on the Temple Mount. Upon entering, the Canadian women were forced to buy unattractive shawls to cover up with. Then 50 Arab women, began screaming “Allah Akhbar” repeatedly.

Five Jewish men were arrested on Wednesday for quietly praying atop Jerusalem’s Temple Mount, an expression of faith that caused the many Muslims around them to explode in fury.

Police stationed at the sensitive holy site said a mob of Muslims gathered around the Jewish men, hurling insults and nearly coming to blows before Islamic officials stepped in to restore calm on the condition the Jewish worshipers be arrested.
