Unbelievably, Jerusalem’s Temple Mount, the holiest site in Judaism, is still used today, even under Israeli control, as a platform from which to incite jihad against the Jewish state.

Kill JewsLast Friday, Palestinian Authority (PA) religious leader Sheikh Omar Abu Sara’a delivered a sermon at the Al Aqsa Mosque in which he lambasted the PA for being so weak as to actually negotiate with the Jews.

Hamas faction calls on Fatah to ‘Prepare for War’

The Al-Qassam Brigades of Hamas call on Fatah leadership to prepare for upcoming war with Israel, should Jews be allowed to pray on the Temple Mount.

During an Al-Qassam Brigade military parade Hamas officials called on Fatah to prepare for war with Israel, and threatened to declare war if Jews are allowed to pray at the Temple Mount.

At the parade by Hamas’ “military wing”, which marks a year since the IDF Pillar of Defense counter-terror operation in Gaza,  Raeed Sa’ad, a high-ranking commander of Al-Qassam, called on Fatah and its military branch in Judea and Samaria to prepare for the next clash with Israel. Bayit Yehudi (Jewish Home) has advanced new laws this morning (Friday) that would enact the establishment of regular prayer hours for Jews visiting the Temple Mount, Yediot Ahronot reports.

According the the new laws, which have already begun to undergo legal processing through the Ministry of Religious Services, daily prayer hours would be set for Jewish groups visiting Judaism’s holiest site. Currently, Jews have faced frequent attacks of discrimination against them by Israeli Police during Temple Mount visits, in accordance with a ban on Jewish religious activity there stemming from pressure from Palestinian Arab and Muslim groups. Police arrest 13 Jews for praying on Temple Mount

 

The worshipers violated court approved police directive barring Jewish worshipers from prayer on the Temple Mount plaza, for fear it may cause riots.

After a short interrogation the police released the men.

Thirteen Jewish worshipers were arrested on Monday in the Temple Mount plaza, after the police said they were holding a prayer service on the premises in breach of security forces’ directives.

Star of David is Forbidden on Temple Mount

Police forced a First Aid volunteer from Magen David Adom  to remove his jacket with the organization’s emblem before entering the Temple Mount.

Palestinian Arabs Attack a Police Patrol on Temple Mount

Two Israel policemen were slightly injured by Arabs throwing rocks at them.

Quiet has been restored by the security services and visits to the Temple Mount are continuing as usual.

The patrol was carried out on the basis of intelligence, according to which Arabs intend to throw rocks from one of the mosques. The patrol was then attacked in precisely that way, with rocks thrown from within a mosque.

Palestinian Worshipers Throw out Fatah Official from Temple Mount

Angry Muslim worshipers on Tuesday expelled a senior Fatah official from the Temple Mount compound.

The official, Azzam Ahmed, was accompanying a Jordanian delegation on a tour of the compound when some worshipers began hurling abuse at him.

Eyewitnesses said that the worshipers called on Ahmed to leave the area after accusing him of failing to coordinate his visit with the Fatah leadership in east Jerusalem.

 

A Fatah activist in the city told The Jerusalem Post that Ahmed and the Jordanian delegation notified only the Israeli authorities of their intention to visit the site.

7th century coins & jewelry discovered at foot of Temple Mount

36 gold coins, silver & gold jewelry, and a gold medallion, etched with the Temple menorah, shofar & Torah scroll were among the discoveries.

The gold medallion was likely was a Torah scroll ornament.

JERUSALEM — Gold and silver coins and jewelry dated from the seventh century were discovered at an excavation at the foot of the Temple Mount, Hebrew University researchers said.

7th century AD dated Gold medallion bearing a Temple menorah, shofar and Torah scroll found at Temple Mount, Jerusalem.

The discovery of the two bundles of treasure at the Temple Mount’s southern wall, at the Ophel excavation site, was announced Monday by the researchers.

The artifacts can be dated to the late Byzantine period, or early seventh century CE.

At least 15 Arab stone-throwers arrested as Palestinians & police clash on Temple Mount

Israel Police use stun grenades to disperse crowd of youths throwing stones at them.

Similar Arab violence took place only days earlier.

 

 

At least 15 arrests were made at the Temple Mount on Friday, as Palestinian youths and police clashed at the sacred site only days after similar clashes took place there.

Muslim Arabs Throw Stones at Jewish Visitors on Temple Mount

Israel Police force quickly enter the Temple Mount compound after Arab Muslims began throwing stones at the Jewish visitors.

Police forces were dispatched on Wednesday to break up Muslim stone throwers who were targeting Jewish visitors on the Temple Mount (Har Habayit).

As soon as stones were thrown and riots broke out, police forces stepped in to make arrests.

Security forces were prepared for a riot as this incident follows renewed incitement by Islamic Movement leader Sheikh Raed Salah, who called for Muslims to physically prevent Jews from visiting the Temple Mount last week.

Yesterday, the leader of the northern branch of the Islamic Movement in Israel was arrested on charges of “incitement against Israel and regarding the Temple Mount,” and is currently being questioned by police. Continue Reading »

Dozens of Jews on visited the Temple Mount on Sunday morning as it was opened to tourists for the first time since the end of the month of Ramadan and the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr last week.
