Israel prepared for possible Iranian retaliatory missile attack in north

Since last month’s strike on the Syrian T4 air base holding Iranian weapons planned to be used by Hezbollah against Israel, hostilities continue to escalate with Iranian threats being taken seriously.

Israel’s defense is reportedly bracing itself for a possible imminent missile attack from its northern border in retaliation for the Israel strike last month on the Syrian T4 air base, which hit Iranian facilities and killed seven Revolutionary Guards personnel.

Preparations have been identified recently for a launch of Iranian missiles on Israel’s northern border, organized by the Revolutionary Guards, local media reported Sunday evening.

However, the Israeli assessment is that Iran is looking to carry out a directed attack in order to ‘settle the score’, rather than plunge the region into full-blown war. Continue Reading »

Angry ISIS Threathens to Topple Hamas in Gaza, then Fatah & Israel

From an ISIS stronghold in Syria, the Islamist radicals threaten they will topple Hamas for being “insufficiently stringent” about enforcing “the rule of Sharia.”

Islamic State (ISIS) insurgents on Tuesday threatened to topple Hamas in Gaza, accusing the group of being “insufficiently stringent” about religious enforcement, according to Reuters.

The video, issued from an ISIS stronghold in Syria, was a public challenge to Hamas, which has been cracking down on jihadists who oppose its truces with Israel and reconciliation with longtime rival Fatah.

“We will uproot the state of the Jews (Israel) and you and Fatah, and all of the secularists are nothing and you will be over-run by our creeping multitudes,” said a masked ISIS member, according to Reuters, in the message addressed to the “tyrants of Hamas”. Continue Reading »

Iran, Hezbollah worried over IDF movements during annual nation-wide safety exercise

As IDF masses its forces near Lebanese border, senior Iranian military official warned Israel that any attack would unleash a firestorm of missiles on its cities.

 The Ynet website reported that the Islamic Republic is worried that Israel might use the lack of stability in Syria and Lebanon to somehow jeopardize the planned signature of a nuclear deal between Iran and world powers.

Islamic Jihad has placed Israel on warning it will break the ceasefire on missile attacks if its leader is banned from entering Gaza.

Israel has been spared rocket and missile attacks since the Egyptian-mediated ceasefire took effect on November 21 after the IDF’s Pillar of Defense campaign and the Iron Dome anti-missile defense system pushed the de facto Hamas regime into a position of having to back down or face a massive ground incursion.
