Egypt acknowledges destroying over 3,000 Gaza terror-tunnels

The Egyptian Army Spokesperson admitted in a TV interview, that to curtail terrorism in the Sinai, the army destroyed over 3000 terror & smuggling tunnels on their Gaza border, some were as long as 3 km and as deep as 30 meters.

Egypt has destroyed more than 3,000 tunnels along its border with the Gaza Strip in the past five years, Egyptian Army Spokesperson Tamer Al-Refai has revealed.

In an interview with the private Egyptian news channel Extra News on Sunday night, he said: “In 2015, the [Egyptian] government took a decision to establish a buffer zone along the border [with the Gaza Strip]. Continue Reading »

IDF Destroys Hezbollah’s last, most advanced & largest attack-tunnel

While the IDF has now destroyed all of Hezbollah’s cross-border attack-tunnels, some by explosives and others by flooding them with fresh concrete, there are still several others known to the military, but are in Lebanese territory, close to the border with Israel.

Six months after the Israeli military declared an end to Operation Northern Shield, the IDF has begun destroying the final and largest cross-border tunnel dug by Hezbollah into Israeli territory.

The tunnel began in the Lebanese village of Ramiyeh and stretched one kilometer before infiltrating several meters into northern Israel, close to the communities of Zarit and Shtula. Continue Reading »

Cleared for publication: 15th Hamas cross-border attack tunnel destroyed

The IDF discovers and destroys the 15th Hamas attack tunnel, this one dug 200 meters into Israeli territory, and like the others,  linked to a vast network ‎within Gaza of underground passageways.

Cleared for publication: The Israeli military ‎uncovered and neutralized a Hamas terror tunnel ‎breaching Israeli territory. This is the 15th cross-border tunnel discovered and destroyed this year.‎

The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said Thursday that the tunnel, dug near the southern Gaza Strip town of ‎Khan Younis, was about a kilometer (3,300 feet) long and reached ‎about 200 meters (660 feet) under the Israeli ‎border. Continue Reading »

IDF destroys Hamas’ 9th terror-tunnel in Saturday’s retaliatory strike in Gaza

The air strike on the terror-tunnel was in retaliation for the arson and destruction at Kerem Shalom border crossing’s fuel and gas pipes, that serve the people of Gaza, but were set ablaze by Hamas’ ‘March of Return’ protestors.

The Israel Air Force on Saturday evening destroyed a Hamas offensive tunnel that was in advanced stages of building mere meters from the Erez crossing in the northern Gaza Strip.

The tunnel, which Hamas had dug in the security parameter, had originated in Beit Hanoun, stretched over a kilometer and was intended to reach Israeli communities such as the Erez Kibbutz. Continue Reading »

Fifth Hamas terror-tunnel located & destroyed by IDF

Israel thwarts Hamas’ efforts to infiltrate Israel from Gaza after destroying the 5th, and according to Israel’s Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman, “the longest and deepest one [terror-tunnel] ever uncovered.”

Over the weekend, IDF forces thwarted another terror tunnel that penetrated into Israel, it was cleared this morning for publication.

IDF Spokesperson Brigadier General Ronen Manelis said that this is the fifth tunnel that has been thwarted in Israel recently. The tunnel was foiled in the Jabaliya area.
