A woman who played a central role in the public trial of ex-president Moshe Katzav, now in jail for rape, is facing accusations of stalking.

Known to the public only as “Aleph of the President’s Residence,” the woman was the first to publicly accuse Katzav of raping her. The matter became public when Katzav went to the attorney general and complained that Aleph was blackmailing him, and demanding $200,000.

Israel’s media featured Aleph’s complaints against Katzav in an unprecedented live press conference that disguised her identity through pixellation, as she hurled extreme and explicit accusations at Katzav. Continue Reading »

Once again demonstrating that it harbors no ill will toward the Palestinian Arabs, the Israeli army recently got to work clearing land mines from Arab-owned fields in the vicinity of Bethlehem.

The IDF will refrain from using white phosphorous shells in populated areas, the State informed the High Court of Justice on Monday in response to a petition filed by human rights groups asking to ban the incendiary munitions.

Diplomat Says Accepting ‘Arab League Initiative’ is Suicide

The so-called “Arab initiative” or “Arab League peace plan” that has been gaining currency in recent months is “a recipe for Israel’s suicide,” according to Israel’s former representative in Washington, DC, Yoram Ettinger.

Ambassador Ettinger told Arutz Sheva that the plan is no more than “a honey trap” that misguidedly seeks to force reality to fit some people’s imaginings.

The Arab proposal, explained Ettinger, is based on UN Resolution 194, that favors the so called “right of return” of Arab “refugees” to Israel and would have Israel go back to indefensible 1949 Armistice lines. Continue Reading »

The Fatah Central Council has accepted the Arab League’s latest proposal for land swaps with Israel.
