#BDSfail: Germany’s second largest bank shuts down anti-Israel BDS account

 

Israel’s Security Minister Erdan urges European banks to follow Germany’s closure of the anti-Israel account because of BDS activity, which is believed to be the 1st German bank taking such action to stop the movement.

 

BERLIN – in the latest of a series of similar account closures by international banks, German bank Commerzbank has shut down a boycott Israel account, the first action of its kind in that country, The Jerusalem Post has learned.

Austrian bank closes pro-BDS account belonging to OKAZ, which hosted a convicted Palestinian terrorist in Vienna.

 

Berlin – The Austrian financial giant Bawag closed the bank account of the pro-BDS Austrian-Arab cultural center (OKAZ), which hosted a Palestinian terrorist in Vienna in April.

Berlin – The Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) has allocated funds in the millions to anti-Israel NGOs linked to terrorism and working in support of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement against Israel, according to a report that appeared in Switzerland’s Basler Zeitung on Monday.

The front-page story by veteran journalist Dominik Feusi, headlined “Resistance in Parliament against money for Israel-critical campaigns,” stated that MP Christian Imark had introduced a motion supported by 41 lawmakers from across the political spectrum calling on the FDFA to stop all direct or indirect funding to organizations that sponsor “racist and anti-Semitic actions” or are involved in BDS campaigns. Texas Governor to ignore Iran nuclear deal & maintain sanction

 

Texas’ Governor Abbott formally responded on Monday to President Obama’s April 8th letter, stating that “Texas will maintain its sanctions against Iran.”

Palestinian football club reaps ‘insults & injury’ from Lebanon & AFC

 

One month after 9 Arab Israeli soccer players were ‘insulted’ by Lebanon’s refusal to allow them entry for a match, the AFC ‘injured’ them by declaring the team losers & fining them $20,000 to boot.

The Palestinian Football Association on Saturday denounced the Asian Football Confederation’s (AFC) decision to declare as losers a Palestinian team who had several players unable to enter Lebanon for a soccer game in the AFC Cup.

The match was supposed to take place on March 9 between the Palestinian soccer team Shabab Al-Thahriyeh from near Hebron and the Syrian team Al-Wahda.
