German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said on Thursday that the country’s “responsibility to protect Jewish lives will never end” at a celebration of Israel’s 70th Independence Day in Berlin.

Berlin gov’t: Display of Hezbollah flag is incitement to genocide

 

Berlin state interior minister Frank Henkel, “Anyone who calls for the destruction of an entire people and promotes war and violence is abusing the right” of free speech and assembly.

The Berlin State Senate has agreed to ban Hezbollah flags, with their image of an upraised assault weapon, from an anti-Israel Al Quds march, likening the symbol to a call for genocide.

The announcement came following a request by the American Jewish Committee in Berlin. The march is scheduled for Saturday.

Israeli 15 yr-old Entrepreneurs Take 3rd Place at European Contest

Delegation of 15 yr-old Israelis take 3rd place out of 37 countries competing at the Junior Achievement contest in Berlin.

Israeli teenagers won third place at a competition for young entrepreneurs held by the Junior Achievement organization in Berlin last week.

The teens presented Sit Up, a safety harness allowing children aged seven and younger to be carried on one’s shoulder, at the competition.

Start-up companies formed by teens from 37 countries participated at this year’s contest. At 15, the Israelis happened to be the youngest participants this year.

Over 20,000 students from around Europe, who founded hundreds of small companies, were involved in this year’s contest. Continue Reading »

14th European Maccabi Games hosted 2,322 Jewish athletes from all over the world in Berlin for largest Shabbat Dinner ever.
