Germany backs UK’s proposal of blacklisting Hezbollah’s military wing

The UK submitted application to the EU on Monday to blacklist, the military wing of Hezbollah. 

The Netherlands along with Israel, Bahrain,U.S. & Canada have banned Hezbollah’s entire organization

German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle decided Wednesday to support listing Hezbollah’s military wing as a terrorist organization in the European Union, according to German diplomatic sources.

“In the light of discussions we have had with our partners following the terrorist attack in Burgas, Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle supports listing at least the military wing of Hezbollah as a terrorist organization in the EU,” the officials said.

Prince Mishal bin Abdulaziz al Saud, a brother of Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah, and his son Prince Abdulaziz bin Mishal, had previously argued they had sovereign immunity from suit but the courts rejected that stance.

An IDF observation post in the border area in the Golan Heights reported detecting small arms firing from the Syrian side of the border at an open area in Israel. No injuries or damage were reported.

A complaint was lodged with the United Nations. The army is checking whether fire had indeed been directed at Israel.

CIA Director John Brennan makes unpublicized visit to Israel

Brennan & Israel’s defense minister, Moshe Yaalon, talked about Israel’s intent to continue striking shipments of advanced weapons destined to Hezbollah from Iran or even Syria.

Brennan and Israel’s defense minister, Moshe Yaalon, in their meeting Friday reportedly compared intelligence assessments on Syria and its two-year civil war. They also talked about Israel’s intent to continue striking shipments of advanced weapons destined for Hezbollah from Iran via Syria.

Hamas & Hezbollah run NY smuggling ring evading $80 million in taxes

New York law enforcement late Wednesday busted a smuggling ring, consisting of suspected members of Hamas and Hezbollah, that has been funneling millions of dollars of funds to terrorist organizations from the sale of tax-free cigarettes, the New York Daily News reported citing local law enforcement officials.

According to the report, The New York state attorney general and the New York Police Department (NYPD) arrested 16 members of the group.

The ring had infiltrated the market with the sales of over one million cartons of tax-free cigarettes smuggled from Southern states, where they were bought at cheaper prices, legal authorities were reported as saying .

Israel warns Assad: If you or your proxies attack us, we’ll end your reign

 

Israeli Official reports to the New York Times that if Hezbollah or Assad’s forces attack Israel,  “he will risk forfeiting his regime, for Israel will retaliate.”

 

“If Syrian President Assad reacts by attacking Israel…he will risk forfeiting his regime,” a senior Israeli official told the New York Times on Wednesday.

The Times’ White House correspondent Mark Landler wrote that the official contacted the newspaper on his own initiative.

Fatah: Resistance doesn’t take orders from Assad or Hezbollah

Israel used depleted uranium shells in the alleged strike in Syria on Sunday, a senior Syrian military source told Russia Today on Monday.

“When the explosion happened it felt like an earthquake, then a giant golden mushroom of fire appeared. This tells us that Israel used depleted uranium shells,” the source said.
