Israeli fighter jets struck targets inside Syria, including two tanks belonging to the Syrian government, on Saturday, in response to the firing of over ten projectiles into the Golan Heights.

The Israel Defense Forces reported that the projectiles landed in “an open area” causing no known injuries or damage and were believed to be spillover from the Syrian civil war.

WATCH: Israel reportedly attacked Iranian arms depot near Damascus airport

 

Foreign Report: Hearing at least 5 explosions, the IAF allegedly targeted ‘game-changing’ weapons meant for Hezbollah and other pro-Iranian militias fighting in Syria early Thursday morning.

The Israel Air Force reportedly attacked an Iranian arms depot near the Damascus International Airport early Thursday morning, according to the Hezbollah-affiliated al-Manar television station.

According to various reports, a series of explosions at fuel tanks and warehouses near the airport rocked eastern Damascus at around 3:20am.

Report: IAF jets destroy Hezbollah ordnance at Syrian army outposts in Damascus suburb

 

Again an aerial attack is attributed to Israel, this one on the Syrian army’s 3rd Division in al-Katif, with Lebanese press quoting officials reporting Hezbollah military buses were destroyed.

According to the reports, Israeli warplanes were circling Lebanese airspace in the Baalbek area at around 3am Wednesday, carrying out the attack from over Lebanon.Officials cited by Lebanese media estimated the attack was targeting Hezbollah military buses.

In a counter statement issued by Hezbollah, they claimed that the reports stating that the Israeli attacks targeted Hezbollah’s outposts in Lebanon or Syria are incorrect.

REPORT: Israel’s new US-made F–35 fighter jets suspected in Syrian missile assault

 

A Syrian military source reported to Russian media that the Israel Air Force had used their newly acquired F–35, Adir fighter jets, in the Friday missile attack.

Over the weekend, the Al-Mezzeh military airport in Damascus was heavily bombed. The Syrian regime immediately pointed an accusatory finger at Israel.

The Syrian army accused the Jewish state of support rebel groups, and said that the “Israeli enemy” had fired several missiles from the skies over the Sea of Galilee, without violating Syrian airspace.

Israel denies losing fighter-jets or UAV after retaliatory strike in Syria

All aircrafts returned safely, the IDF spokesperson said. “Israeli aircraft were not close to the source of the fire, and the missiles never threatened their target [the Israeli] aircraft.”

The Syrian military said it shot down two Israeli military aircraft, including a drone, Tuesday morning, alleging they attacked a government-held position in the country’s south.

“Our air defenses blocked the attack and shot down the military aircraft in (the southern province of) Quneitra and a drone” in the Golan area said the statement carried by state news agency SANA.

Shortly thereafter, however, an IDF spokesperson denied the claims, saying that no manned Israeli aircraft or drones had been downed.

For the second time in less than a week, the Israeli Air Force on Wednesday night launched retaliatory airstrikes against Syrian regime mortar launchers in the Golan Heights.

The Israeli Air Force launched airstrikes overnight Wednesday against mortar launchers belonging to the Syrian regime on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights, the IDF Spokesperson stated.

According to the statement, the attacks were in retaliation for the firing of a projectile towards the northern Golan Heights earlier in the day.
