US adopts IDF policy of retaliatory strikes on Iranian militias in Iraq, Syria

US retaliatory strikes targeted Iran-backed militia weapon caches as well as operational facilities at 2 locations in Syria, plus a target in Iraq.

The United States said on Sunday it carried out another round of air strikes against Iran-backed militia in Iraq and Syria, this time in response to drone attacks by the militia against U.S. personnel and facilities in Iraq.

In a statement, the U.S. military said it targeted operational and weapons storage facilities at two locations in Syria and one location in Iraq. It did not disclose whether it believed anyone was killed or injured but officials said assessments were ongoing. Continue Reading »

7 killed in 2nd airstrike in Syria blamed on Israel within a week 

Initial reports claimed that at least four Iranian militants we killed after the Syrian air defense systems were activated.

At least four Iranian militants and three civilians were killed and another four people were wounded, including a child, after Syrian air defense systems were activated in response to an alleged Israeli airstrike targeting the Damascus area from Lebanese airspace early Monday morning, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).

The attack marks the second airstrike in Syria blamed on Israel in the past week.

The civilian deaths and injuries were caused after shrapnel from Israeli missiles hit homes in the towns of Al-Hujaira and Al-Adliya in the Damascus area, according to Syria’s state news agency SANA. Continue Reading »

Turkey destroys Syrian chemical warfare facility, kills 10 Hezbollah bosses

Multiple sources reported on Saturday that a chemical warfare facility and a range of other Syrian regime targets were hit in multiple Turkish strikes, killing ten fighters and wounding at least 30 others at a Hezbollah HQ near Saraqeb.

At least nine members of Lebanese Hezbollah were killed in a Turkish strike in Syria’s Idlib, multiple sources reported on Saturday.

According to London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, ten Hezbollah members, including officers, were killed in the clashes in the vicinity of Saraqeb, a strategic town in north Syria.

Report: Israeli strike on Iranian weapons convoy kills 8 on Iraq/Syria border

Arabic-language media outlets are claiming early Friday morning that the IDF has carried out yet another air strike in Syria against Iranian proxies, this time leaving 8 dead amid the turmoil and spiraling tension between the United States and Iran.

An Israeli air raid targeted an arms convoy on the Syrian-Iraqi border, Arabic-language media outlets claimed on Friday.

In a subsequent report, the head of the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, Rami Abdel Rahman, said that “At least eight Iraqi Hashed fighters were killed” in the attack.

Syrian state news agency reports Israeli missile struck Quneitra

The state run news agency reported an attack on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights Thursday; striking a village and causing only material damages with no reports of casualties.

An Israeli missile hit a village in the Kuneitra countryside in Syria’s Golan Heights near the frontier between the two countries on Thursday, Syrian state media said.

State news agency SANA described it as “an Israeli attack” that caused only material damages.

Satellite images taken this weekend and published on Sunday have exposed the damage caused by an airstrike, attributed to Israel, on a military facility in northwest Syria.

Korean Air suspended Israel-bound flights until Thursday as a result of the ongoing operation in the Gaza Strip, the company announced on Friday. The airline hinted that the move was partially designed to review safety issues in the wake of the incident last week in which a Malaysia Airlines plane was shot down over eastern Ukraine.

Israeli Air Force Hits Gaza Terrorists Just After Mortar Attack

The Israeli Air Force struck terrorist targets in Gaza Wednesday morning, wounded two Palestinian terrorists in the south of the Islamist-controlled territory, medical and security sources said.

“Two Palestinians were hit and injured by an Israeli drone while they were riding on a motorbike east of Khan Yunis,” Gaza’s Hamas-run health ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra told AFP.

Hamas security sources described the two as “militants”, without saying to which group they belonged.
