Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Saturday evening participated in a telephone conference about the situation on the Temple Mount.

Participating in the teleconference were Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan (Likud), Israel Police Chief Roni Alsheikh, Shabak Director Nadav Argaman, and Jerusalem District Police Commander Yoram Halevi.

During the discussion, the decision was made to gradually reopen the Temple Mount to worshipers, tourists, and visitors beginning on Sunday afternoon. Continue Reading »

Turkey is spending tens of millions of dollars to gain a foothold inside Israel’s capital city and to stir up tensions between Arab residents and Israelis, a new investigative report claims.

The Diplomatic-Security Cabinet’s unanimous decision on Tuesday to outlaw the Islamic Movement’s Northern Branch was widely praised by most Knesset members, although Israeli Arab politicians were critical of the move.

Jerusalem District Court Rejects Islamic Movement Leader Raed Salah’s Appeal

 

The verdict sends Raed Salah, the leader of the extremist Northern Branch of the Islamic Movement, to begin 11 months incarceration for incitement in a speech given in 2007.

 

Raed Salah, the leader of the extremist Northern Branch of the Islamic Movement, had his appeal rejected in the Jerusalem District Court on Tuesday and will have to serve the 11-month sentence he received in March for incitement in a speech he gave in 2007.

Salah is scheduled to begin serving his sentence on November 15.

Yisrael Beytenu MK Alex Miller’s bill to blacklist the Islamic Movement in Israel will be reviewed by the Ministerial Committee for Legislation on Sunday, and if passed, would strike a major blow against Islamists blamed for the continued Arab rioting in Jerusalem and elsewhere.

Knesset Session to Push Bill That Outlaws Islamic Movement’s Northern Branch

The Islamic Movement‘s northern branch needs to be outlawed for openly undermining the sovereignty of the State of Israel, while  cynically exploiting the institutions & basic values of a Jewish and democratic country.

With the opening of the Knesset’s winter session on Monday, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman has instructed Yisrael Beiteinu MK Alex Miller to push a bill proposal meant to outlaw the northern branch of the Islamic Movement in Israel.

Court Convicts Sheikh Raed Salah of ‘Blood Libel’, Inciting Violence

Sheikh Salah, who was on the deadly Mavi Marmara flotilla, used the defense that he accused Catholics, not Jews, of eating children’s blood in their bread.

The Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court has convicted Sheikh Raed Salah of incitement. Salah, who heads the northern branch of the extremist Islamic Movement, currently faces other charges of incitement, as well.

The conviction relates to a speech Salah made in Jerusalem on February 16, 2007. Speaking to a crowd in the Wadi Joz neighborhood, Salah said that children’s blood has never been used to prepare the food eaten at meals to break the Ramadan fast. Continue Reading »
