Israel unveils supersonic air-2-ground missile that penetrates protected targets

With pinpoint accuracy, Israel’s supersonic, ‘Rampage’ long-range air-to-ground assault missile is compatible with IAF’s F-15, F-16 & F-35 fighter jets, and is designed to be released outside protected areas, then its advanced navigation will guide it successfully to ‘high quality targets’ protected by advanced air-defense systems.

With tensions still high between Israel and Iran, a new supersonic air-to-surface missile designed for the annihilation of high quality targets has been developed by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) and Israel Military Industry Systems (IMI).

Dubbed “The Rampage” after a popular video-game, it is an accurate supersonic, long-range air-to-ground assault missile with a warhead, rocket engine and advanced navigation suit which allows for precision targeting at a very low mission cost compared to existing solutions. Continue Reading »

Elbit acquires IMI, maker of the Uzi, for $522 million

Elbit Systems plans to relocate the IMI facilities from central Israel to the southern Negev, a move that would allow real estate development in central Israel and broaden the economic development in the Negev.

Israel is selling state-owned IMI Systems, maker of the Uzi sub-machine gun, to defense company Elbit Systems for more than half a billion dollars, the finance ministry said on Sunday.

The government began the process of privatizing IMI Systems, formerly known as Israel Military Industries, in 2013.

US Army selects Israeli firm to supply protection system for American APC

New Israeli GPS 18-rocket system becomes operational

 

The Israel developed GPS-guided Romach rocket system can launch 18 rockets within a minute, and has a reported range of 35 kilometers with an accuracy of within 10 meters of its target.

One year after commencing field testing, the Israel Defense Forces on Wednesday declared that a new guided artillery rocket called the Romach (“Spear”) is now operational.

New Delhi and Jerusalem to sign huge weapons deal

India and Israel are set to sign a $3 billion weapons deal preceding Indian PM Narendra Modi’s first official visit to the Jewish State.

A $3 billion weapons deal is to be signed between Israel and India ahead of a historic planned visit by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Holy Land.

India is planning to buy 164 laser systems for its air force, specifically for its Sukhoi-30MKI and Jaguar planes, and 250 precision guided bunker busting bombs, according to a report in The Times of India on Tuesday.

Could this be the answer to rocket launching terror cells in Gaza? The IDF is set receive a new model of a GPS-guided mortar shell, developed by Israel Military Industries. The weapon is designed to deliver a quick strike against terrorist cells, especially those in the Gaza Strip, and was given the original name “Morty” (Patzmi, a play on the Hebrew acronym for mortar).
