Israeli strikes in Gaza focused mostly on Hamas’ weapons factories, missile launching capabilities, Hamas’ naval operational headquarters and their underground tunnels.

A total of 105 rockets were fired into Israel between Tuesday and Wednesday, most by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad with some minor participation from Hamas, the IDF confirmed on Wednesday morning.
In response, Israel countered with approximately 16 airstrikes, mostly on Hamas positions, to hold the group responsible for what occurs in Gaza.

Abbas tells the Russian President that the Palestinians want renewed negotiations to be based on “international legitimacy” with EU, UN and Russian participation, not just the U.S.

The Palestinians are prepared to return to the negotiating table with Israel under the auspices of the Quartet, which comprises the US, EU, UN and Russia, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said on Wednesday.
Abbas told Russian President Vladimir Putin during a phone conversation that the Palestinians want the proposed negotiations to be based on “international legitimacy” and with the participation of other countries, according to a statement released by the PA’s official news agency Wafa.
