In retaliation to 105 rockets fired, IDF hits 16 Hamas targets in Gaza

Israeli strikes in Gaza focused mostly on Hamas’ weapons factories, missile launching capabilities, Hamas’ naval operational headquarters and their underground tunnels.

A total of 105 rockets were fired into Israel between Tuesday and Wednesday, most by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad with some minor participation from Hamas, the IDF confirmed on Wednesday morning.

In response, Israel countered with approximately 16 airstrikes, mostly on Hamas positions, to hold the group responsible for what occurs in Gaza.

IDF Spokesman Brig.-Gen. Daniel Hagari said that despite an apparent ceasefire starting around 5:30 a.m. “all options are on the table” should any Palestinian group fire additional rockets at Israel. Continue Reading »

Israel’s Ministry of Defense has signed a deal to develop and acquire advanced precise short and long range rockets worth hundreds of millions of shekels with Israel Military Industries (IMI).

According to the Ministry of Defense, the precision firepower will significantly improves the IDF’s capabilities of accurately hitting a target from a distance at immediate availability and with a low mission cost relative to other combat systems.

Israeli Minister calls to assassinate leaders of Hamas terror group

Among the many Israeli politicians that visited the south after 200 Gaza rockets were fired at Israeli towns, villages & cities, Minister Regev said, “The equation should be very simple: If our children live in fear, then the leadership of Hamas should live in fear.”

Report: Hezbollah at high alert after IDF’s deadly retaliatory strikes in Syria

 

Kuwaiti Al-Rai reports:
Hezbollah fears the Jewish State is seeking to escalate as Jerusalem believes, “that its situation is critical & will soon be tested.” 

This follows the IAF response, eradicating the Islamic Jihad cell that fired 2 rockets at the Galilee & 2 more at the Golan Heights.

Hezbollah has increased its general alert level along the border with Israel, Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Rai reported Saturday, “for fear of attempts by Israel to drag Lebanon and Syria into an escalation of a state less than war but more than an operation.”

The Israel Air Force launched additional air strike in Syria Friday morning, targeting a vehicle in which 4-5 men were killed who were responsible for Thursday’s rocket fire on the Golan Heights, Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon confirmed Friday morning.

Gaza Terrorists Test Fire Homemade Long-Range M-175 Rockets

Terrorists in Hamas-controlled Gaza test fired their new long-range M-175 rocket out to sea, which can reach Tel Aviv.

Terrorists in Hamas-controlled Gaza conducted a test using long-range M-175 rockets on Tuesday evening.

Rockets of this type are able to reach the central Israeli city of Tel Aviv and even beyond that when fired from Gaza.

During the test, the terrorists fired the rockets out to sea, but the explosions were heard in towns near Gaza, including Sderot, Ashkelon, Ashdod and Netivot.

Lebanon Fired 4 Rockets into Northern Israel; IDF No Retaliation yet

Lebanon fires at least 4 rockets toward Israel; residents of Akko, Nahariya urged to stay close to bomb-shelters.

At least four rockets were fired from Lebanon Thursday afternoon, with at least one confirmed as having struck in the area of Nahariya.

Fired at IsraelSeveral residents have been treated for shock.

IDF Radio reported that bomb shelters in the northern city of Akko (Acre) have been opened for public use, and the IDF is urging residents of the north to remain close to shelters.

Sderot Home Hit By Gaza Rocket

Residents of the city of Sderot reported hearing the “Red Alert” siren twice on Friday morning.

Shortly afterwards, a rocket fired by terrorists from Hamas-controlled Gaza hit a home in the city. One woman suffered from shock and the home sustained minor damage.

A second rocket exploded in an open area of the Shaar HaNegev Regional Council.

On Thursday evening, a rocket launched by terrorists in Gaza exploded in an open area of the Ashkelon Coast Council region.

Remains of 2nd Grad rocket found at Mitzpe Ramon

Discovery comes after rocket shell found in Arava region; IDF investigating if fired from Egypt or Jordan; no injuries or damage.

 

 

Police bomb squad officers found the remains of a second rocket fired deep into southern Israel on Saturday, at Mitzpe Ramon, in the heart of the Negev desert.

“It’s a 122 millimeter diameter Grad-type rocket. The same type of rocket that was fired earlier at Uvda,” police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld told The Jerusalem Post.

Security officials are examining when the rocket was fired, as well as additional circumstances surrounding the incident.

Terrorists Fire Two Grad Rockets at Eilat

Terrorists fired two Grad rockets at the city of Eilat Wednesday night. No reports of physical injuries or damages.

 

Terrorists fired two Grad-type rockets at the city of Eilat on Wednesday night, according to a report on Kol Yisrael radio.

One of the rockets exploded in a construction zone located in a residential neighborhood in the city. Security forces were conducting searches in the area to locate the second rocket. There were no reports of physical injuries or damages.

It is unknown as of yet exactly from the rockets were fired, but officials said it is highly likely they were fired from the Sinai Peninsula. Continue Reading »
