It was not immediately clear who fired the rockets, or where they were fired from.

One possibility that has been raised in the Lebanese media is that the rockets were fired from a nearby “Palestinian refugee camp” housing Arabs descended from those who fled pre-state Israel in 1948.

The attack may have been linked to Hizbullah’s heavy involvement in the internal Syrian conflict. Continue Reading »

Police: Arabs Behind Attack Previously Blamed on Jews

Samaria residents slammed leftist groups after Police investigation proved Arabs were responsible for destruction then shifted blame on area Jews.

By David Lev

Members of the Samaria Residents Council slammed leftist groups Thursday after police said that what had been thought to be a “price tag” action by Jewish residents of Esh Kodesh in the Binyamin region turned out to be a dispute between Arabs. It was the Arabs who set fire to six vehicles in the village of Korsa near Shechem last week, deliberately blaming the Jews for their activities.

Among the groups with egg on their face in the wake of the police findings is the “Rabbis for Human Rights” organization, which in the wake of the claims by Arabs that they had been attacked by Jews, issued a harsh statement condemning Esh Kodesh residents for their “hateful” activities. Have Israel’s Hands Been Tied by the Palestinians?

Egypt is far from being the only country to support the militant group. It is no longer a secret that Hamas is also backed by Iran and the Gulf states (particularly Qatar).

By Elizabeth Blade

On Sunday, several foreign and Israeli news outlets reported that the radical Gaza-based group Hamas was preparing to take over the West Bank, determined to oust the current Western-backed Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas.

According to reports, the Islamists were emboldened by their recent war with Israel and the alleged victory that followed.

Militants claimed that Israel failed to cripple their ability (and will) to launch attacks against civilian targets, with some going as far as to suggest that Hamas left the battleground if not victorious, then at least stronger diplomatically. Continue Reading »
