Regional director of Human Rights Watch, Omar Shakir, vows to continue fighting Israel’s “systematic repression and institutional discrimination”…but, not from the Jewish State, having exhausted all his court options.

The regional director of Human Rights Watch in Israel has vowed that he will retain his position and continue to manage the HRW branch in Israel even after his planned deportation Monday.

Omar Shakir, who has led HRW’s operations in Israel since October 2016, is set to be expelled from the Jewish state Monday, over his support for the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement.

Palestinian descent U.S. Congress member Rashida Tlaib announced she will not be visiting Israel, despite the approval of her request to enter in order to visit her grandmother after an earlier decline due to her support of BDS.

Earlier Friday, Interior Minister Aryeh Deri approved Tlaib’s request to enter the country after she sent him a letter Thursday night saying she will respect the Israeli law and will not work to promote a boycott on the country during her visit. Continue Reading »

It’s official: Rashida Tlaib & Ilhan Omar barred from entering Israel

Israel’s Prime Minister and Interior Ministry have agreed in favor of banning both anti-Semitic Democratic lawmakers from entering the Jewish State based on 2017 law barring entry to activists who work for Israel’s destruction.

Israel will not permit two controversial Democratic lawmakers who have expressed support for the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement visit the country on a planned trip next week.

Following reports in Israeli media that Interior Minister Aryeh Deri (Shas) had decided to bar Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar and Michigan Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib from entering Israel, the ministry confirmed Thursday that the two would be prevented from entering Israel, citing the 2017 anti-BDS law. Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman is intent on expelling the United Nations special envoy to the Middle East, Robert Serry, after authorities learned that he sought to transfer tens of millions of dollars in aid to Hamas, Channel 2 reported on Saturday.

Bosnia: 2 Iranian diplomats expelled for violating diplomatic rules

Bosnian Minister of Security declares 2 Iranian embassy secretaries “persona non grata” and must exit country.  

Israeli intelligence officials had tracked  them in Thailand, Georgia & India – all the places where Israeli citizens have been attacked in the past year.

 

 

The government of Bosnia ordered two Iranian diplomats to leave the Balkan country by the end of the month because they violated diplomatic protocol.
