US State Dept refuses to declassify UNRWA report asserting agency inflates numbers

Classified by the Obama White House, State Department hold-outs  refuse to turn over ‘unclassified version’ to Congress, knowing report would expose Palestinian myth of the actual number of refugees, lowering ‘official’ 5 million, to mere 10’s of thousands.

By: Adam Kredo

The State Department is hiding a classified report on Palestinian refugees that insiders say could be a game changer in how the United States approaches the situation and allocates millions in taxpayer funds to a key United Nations agency, according to multiple sources briefed on the situation.

As the United States moves forward with a decision to slash funding to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), the agency responsible for providing education and support to some five million Palestinian refugees, officials on Capitol Hill and elsewhere have been pressuring the State Department to declassify a report that is believed to show the actual number of refugees is far fewer than the U.N. The United States will not provide $45 million in food aid for Palestinians that it pledged last month as part of the West Bank/Gaza Emergency Appeal led by the U.N. Relief and Works Agency, the U.S. State Department said Thursday.

Earlier this week, the State Department said that Washington would withhold a separate $65 million it had planned to hand over to the U.N. Continue Reading »

DONE! White House slashes UNRWA grant from $125 million to $60 million

Someone needs to tell Abbas: “Don’t bite the hand that feeds you.”
– President Trump and American UN Ambassador Nikki Haley had both previously threatened to cut funds should Abbas not engage in peace. Instead of listening, Abbas cursed Trump and the United States.

The United States have frozen over half of their contribution to United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), from $125 million dollars to a mere $60 million.

The move comes on the backdrop of a deterioration in relations between the United States and the Palestinian Authority, which has been particularly sharp since President Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital on December 6. Continue Reading »

UNRWA, a problem that sustains a Palestinian toll-road to nowhere

UNRWA was born of sin, and has metastasized into an abomination. The organization perpetuates the Palestinian refugee status to forthcoming generations, prevents any political settlement from being reached by its systematic anti-Israel indoctrination, teaches anti-Semitic incitement, and robs real refugees of potential financial aid.

The problem is UNRWA By Ron Prosor

A doctor trying to find a medicine to treat an illness must, first of all, determine its etiology. One of the main obstacles on the path to resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), the U.N. agency founded with the purpose of assisting only Palestinian refugees, and that perpetuates the fantasy of their return. PM Netanyahu: “It is only a matter of time” before IDF nabs drive-by Palestinian terrorists

During a press conference at a New Year’s reception in Jerusalem, PM Netanyahu extols U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman, “who tweeted the truth, unvarnished [and] straight forward” about why there is no peace.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Wednesday evening that “it is only a matter of time” before Israeli security forces lay their hands on the terrorists responsible for Tuesday’s murder of Rabbi Raziel Shevah during a drive-by shooting near the outpost Havat Gilad.

“I spoke with the head of the Shin Bet. He updated me regarding the rigorous investigation that is being conducted on the murderous terror attack yesterday. Continue Reading »

Analysis: Trimming UNRWA aid will not initiate a humanitarian crisis

Shocking revelation from the Lebanese Bureau of Statistics expose how UNRWA radically increased the true number of Palestinian Arabs under its jurisdiction by more than double, for excessive funding.

By Yochanan Visser

Last week, both President Donald Trump and Nikki Haley, the US ambassador to the U.N., indicated that the administration was considering completely cutting off US aid to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Middle East (UNRWA).

On Friday, TV Channel 1 in Israel reported the US administration would freeze roughly a third of the American aid to UNRWA.

The decision was reportedly taken after the Israeli government asked the US to gradually reduce its contribution to UNRWA in order to force the organization to reform and to wean the Palestinian Arabs of the extensive aid the largest UN organization provides to roughly five million Palestinian “refugees” and their descendants. Netanyahu: “This absurdity has to stop,” UNRWA needs to be eliminated

UNRWA is currently dealing with the great-grandchildren of refugees, and in another 70 years they will be dealing with great-great-grandchildren of refugees. “This absurdity has to stop,” PM Netanyahu declared. “UNRWA is an organization that perpetuates the problem of the Palestinian refugees… therefore UNRWA must disappear.”

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) needs to pass away from the world, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday, amid reports that Israel really doesn’t want the US to stop funding the organization.

US Tells UN: No funds to UNRWA if Abbas refuses to negotiate peace with Israel

Although Abbas received kudos from Palestinians immediately after rebuffing President Trump, UNRAW, which aids millions of Palestinians in Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, & Gaza, may withdraw their support from Abbas when free medical, education, and humanitarian assistance is cut off.
– US Amb. to the UN Nikki Haley, “We are trying to promote the peace process, but if that will not happen [due to Abbas’ intransigence], the president will not continue to fund it.”

Rocket from Gaza salvo falls short, direct hit on UN school for Palestinians

IDF’s Iron Dome intercepts two Gaza rockets in the third straight day of attacks emanating from the terrorist enclave, with a third landing in an open field in southern Israel while yet another rocket falls short, hitting a UNRWA school in Gaza.

By Matan Tzuri

Three consecutive Code Red Alerts were sounded Wednesday evening in the southern city of Sderot and the Negev Regional Council near the Gaza Strip, before the Iron Dome missile defense shot down two rockets, and another exploded in open space in Eshkol. It is the third day straight that quiet has been interrupted in Israeli towns and cities bordering the Palestinian enclave. Continue Reading »

UNRWA finds another Hamas terror-tunnel beneath Gaza’s UN school

First, plagued with having UNRWA schools used to store Hamas rockets during the summer months, now, for the second time this year, a Hamas terror-tunnel was discovered beneath another UN educational institution in Gaza.
– UNRWA statement: “The presence of the tunnel underneath an UNRWA facility,” which retains immunity under international law, “is unacceptable and places the children and staff in danger” (by nullifying its immunity status when firing missiles at Israel).

UNRWA reports sealing Hamas terror tunnel discovered beneath 2 UN schools

Although Hamas has invested hundreds of millions of dollars to rehabilitate their attack tunnel network since its last war with Israel, Hamas denied any connection to the tunnel found under the 2 schools saying it “strongly condemned” the UNRWA statement because it can only be exploited by Israel to “justify its crimes.”

A Hamas tunnel passing between two Gaza schools belonging to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) discovered during construction work in June has been sealed.

UNRWA spokesman Chris Gunness confirmed that the agency in charge of Palestinian refugees had closed the tunnel underneath the two boys schools in the Maghazi refugee camp, which was found during the summer holiday at a time when the schools were empty. Continue Reading »

Palestinian plot to circumvent Trump and Congress at the UN for additional funding

With bad press exposing extrajudicial killings in Gaza and Abbas’ ‘Pay for Slay’ to reward those who murder Israelis, Trump and congress are debating funding cuts, but the Arabs have a found a way to do an end-run around Congress and get even more than the $380,593,116 it got in 2015 – by having the UN decide how much.
– BTW, next in line, the EU gave less than half of that to the Palestinians, with a ‘mere’ $136,751,943.

White Paper: The Case For Dismantling UNRWA

Instead of being a solution for the Palestinian refugee problem, UNRWA has become a facilitator for its eternal perpetuation. Without UNRWA, these Arab refugees, and certainly their children, grandchildren, & great-grandchildren, would have resettled in their Arab host countries, or elsewhere in the world, decades ago.

Dismantle UNRWA by

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: In a surprising change of policy, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has called for the dismantling of UNRWA. Such a move could benefit both Israel and the peace process. The new US administration might change its decades-old policy as well.

Last month, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stunned many by declaring that the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) should be dismantled. Continue Reading »

Dore Gold: UNRWA “perpetuates the Palestinian refugee problem rather than solves it.”

More than any other issue, leaving the UNRWA problem intact for yet another generation of refugees undermines any possibility of reaching reconciliation between the parties. You cannot resolve a conflict while feeding UNRWA to perpetuate it at the same time.

COMMENT: UNTYING THE GORDIAN KNOT OF THE ISRAELI-PALESTINIAN CONFLICT – BY DORE GOLD

Last July, the Middle East Quartet was groping to find an explanation for why the Israeli-Palestinian conflict had not yet been resolved.
