US envoy Defends Israel at UN: Listing Israel with Boko Haram, ISIS ‘is fundamentally wrong’

At an open UNSC meeting US Envoy for Special Political Affairs David Pressman said, “The idea that the gov’t of Israel, as some have suggested, would be listed on the same page as ISIS, Boko Haram or Syria, is factually & fundamentally wrong.”

 

The United States strongly condemned countries, diplomats and UN officials seeking to compare Israel with Islamic State in a speech that its envoy to the United Nations gave to the Security Council in New York on Thursday.

Report: Iran flexing its regional muscles having Hezbollah & Syria attack Israel

Syrian Defense Minister Gen. Fahd Jassem al-Freij, who is also deputy commander of the Syrian armed forces, met his Iranian counterpart Hossein Dehghan on Tuesday, in Tehran.

Israel will seek UN Security Council seat for 2019-20

 

‘We’re going all out to win’ reported Israel’s UN Ambassador Prosor, but other UN diplomats admit it won’t be easy in wake of strong anti-Israel bloc.

Israel said on Thursday it plans to run for a rotating seat on the UN Security Council for the first time ever for 2019-2020, although UN diplomats said it will not be easy for the Jewish state to win.
