Israel arrests UN Development Program engineer who, after having been instructed by a Hamas official to exploit his position to aid the Islamic terrorist group, directed UN assets to assist terrorists and terror activities.

In July, the Shin Bet and the Israel Police arrested Wahid Abdallah Borsh, 38, of Jabaliya in Gaza , on suspicion he used his position in the UN Development Program (UNDP), to help Hamas.
The UNDP agency runs restoration and development projects for the population in Gaza, including restoration work on houses damaged during military engagements.

Forced to remain in squalor as Hamas redirects funds for food, health & reconstruction, to tunnel construction & wages to Hamas militants.

REPORT: IDF combat soldiers will be given college scholarships after discharge

Full scholarships to pursue a university degree or professional certification upon completion if combat service will be funded by the IDF, the Friends of the IDF and the Association for the Wellbeing of Israel’s Soldiers.

Israeli combat soldiers will receive full scholarships from the military to pursue a university degree or professional certification.

The scholarships will be funded by the Israel Defense Forces, as well as the Friends of the IDF and the Association for the Wellbeing of Israel’s Soldiers, the Israeli Hebrew daily Yediot Acharonot reported.

In a recent meeting, IDF Chief of Staff Gen. Gadi Eisenkot asked Israel’s Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon to help him find the funds to offer such scholarships to only to combat soldiers, but to all soldiers after their service, according to Ynet, the English-language sister publication of Yediot. Israel gov’t ministers announce plan to deport pro-boycott activists

Israel’s Public Security Minister announced: “We must not allow boycott activists to enter Israel. This is a necessary step given the maliciousness of these delegitimizing activists who work to spread lies & distort the reality of our area.”

IOC reprimands Lebanese Olympic team for refusing to allow Israelis on bus

The head of the Lebanese Olympic delegation was reprimanded by the International Olympic Committee on Sunday after refusing to let the Israeli delegation board a bus the two teams were supposed to share.

As a result, according to the original Facebook post by Israeli sailing coach Udi Gal, event organizers tried to scatter the Israeli athletes on several different buses. He called this “unacceptable for security and representative reasons.”

13 yr-old Palestinian boy arrested after loaded handgun found in school locker

 

According to Israel Police, the handgun was found, holstered with two loaded clips, in the Palestinian boy’s locker at his Jerusalem school after reports of suspicious activity there.

A pistol and two loaded cartridges belonging to a 13-year-old Palestinian boy from east Jerusalem were seized by police at an area school overnight Sunday. The boy has been placed under arrest.

While details of the investigation remain unclear, according to police, the gun was found in a holster in the boy’s locker at the unidentified Jerusalem school, after intelligence was received about suspicious activity there.

IDF failed to destroy Russian drone that invaded Israeli airspace

 

Russian President Vladimir Putin informed PM Netanyahu that the UAV which accidentally entered Israeli airspace was Russian, not Hezbollah’s or Syrian.

A drone which penetrated Israeli airspace three weeks ago was Russian, not Syrian, as initially believed, Haaretz reported on Sunday.

In mid-July, three weeks ago to the day, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) crossed into Israeli airspace over the Golan Heights from the Syrian frontier, and managed to fly some 2.5 miles (4 km) into Israeli airspace before turning back.

At the time, an IDF spokesperson acknowledged that a drone had entered Israeli airspace, but gave no indication as to who was behind the incident. Continue Reading »

Gaza terrorist killed as 3rd tunnel this month collapses

 

Following the third terror-tunnel cave-in this month, it still isn’t clear if Israel has played any part in the recent collapses.

Kahled Mithqal al-Hour, member of Hamas’s armed wing, the Ezzeldin Qassam Brigades, died in a tunnel collapse on Saturday evening, according to a statement on Hamas’s official website.

“The martyr Hour met his Lord and departed from our world following a collapse of a resistance tunnel,” the statement said.

Israel Police to be equipped with personal body cameras

Israel Police started a pilot project to instill public trust in the police by equipping officers with body cameras, after having been proven to reduce violence between civilians and police.

The Israel Police started a new pilot project Wednesday whereby patrol officers and traffic officers will wear body cameras. The pilot will last between three and four months, with 150 officers throughout the country recieving the cameras.

The feedback provided by the cameras is expected to help refine police policy and make the police more efficient. The end goal is to have every patrol officer outfitted with a body camera. Continue Reading »
