British chief whip: Europe has forgotten the Holocaust – fanning the flames of anti-Semitism.

Michael Gove, the UK Chief Whip, says far from eradicating the hatred of Jews, anti-Semitism in Europe is now considered ‘chic’ by some.

 

Europe has forgotten the warning of the Holocaust and is plagued by a “virus” of anti-Semitism, Chief Whip Michael Gove said, adding that the hatred of Jews has attained a “radical chic” in certain circles, U.K. daily The Telegraph reported.

In his address to the annual dinner of the Holocaust Education Trust, Gove also accused pro-Palestinian activists of a “deliberate” campaign of “relativisation, trivialization and perversion” of the Holocaust by comparing the Israeli government to the Nazis, warning that this campaign is fanning the flames of anti-Semitism.

Comedian Joan Rivers, staunch supporter of Israel dies at age 81

On Aug. 28, Joan Rivers was undergoing surgery on her vocal cords at a clinic in New York City when she stopped breathing and had to be rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital.

IDF pounds Syrian army position after its shell explodes in Israel’s Golan

Rocket fired in conflict between Assad forces & rebels on Syrian side of Golan Heights explodes inside Israel.

IDF says it sees the Syrian army as responsible for any rocket fire towards Israel.

The IDF fired a Spike (Tamuz) missile at a Syrian army position on Thursday in response to a stray projectile fired from the neighboring country that hit the Israeli Golan Heights earlier in the day. A direct hit was confirmed.

PMO orders removal of unauthorized, temporary bridge to Temple Mount’s Mughrabi Gate

 

On August 6, PM Binyamin Netanyahu made it clear at a press conference that Israel had no intention of altering the status quo on the Temple Mount.

The Prime Minister’s Office ordered the dismantling of a foot bridge under construction from the Western Wall Plaza to the Temple Mount to supplement the  Mughrabi Bridge, government officials confirmed Wednesday.

The officials said that the move came at the request of the Jordanian government. According to the officials, the PMO has ultimate jurisdiction – because of the sensitivity of the area – for the site. Continue Reading »

Israel’s PM: UN needs to investigate Hamas, not IDF soldiers

 

It appears Jerusalem will not cooperate with the U.N. investigative committee probing Israel’s role in Operation Protective Edge, in light of Professor William Schabas’ comments against Israel and its PM Benjamin Netanyahu.

A week after the cease-fire that ended Operation Protective Edge in the Gaza Strip, the committee set up by the U.N. Human Rights Council to probe the conflict met for the first time to determine the nature of the investigation.

Murdered Jewish US Journalist Was An Israeli

American journalist Steven Sotloff, who was brutally beheaded by the Islamic State terrorist group, took great risks to keep his Jewish faith in captivity, a former fellow-captive of the murdered journalist told Yediot Aharonoth.

However, it turns out that Sotloff was in fact Israeli.

A media gag order on the issue was released on Wednesday, allowing publication of the fact that Sotloff made aliyah (immigration) to Israel in 2005 by himself, and studied at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya.

Respondents typically gave one of three answers. Some did not actually know what it was, or had only a vague idea. The majority, however, either voiced the claim – popular in Arab countries – that the Nazi genocide was exaggerated by Jews for political purposes so that they could do the same to Arabs, or simply said they supported what Hitler had done because, as one smiling woman shared, “Jews are evil”. Second Temple Era ruins found near Highway to Jerusalem

 

Israel Antiquities Authority announced the discovery of ruins and bronze coins stamped with a Hebrew inscription reading “Year Four,” the time of the Great Revolt against the Romans some 2,000 years ago.

The Israel Antiquities Authority on Tuesday announced that the ruins of a Second Temple-era community have been found near Highway 1, Israel’s main Tel Aviv-Jerusalem highway.

Ceasefires, truces and bilateral agreements will never bring the peace most people in the Middle East desire. Only by following the biblical model, including the rebuilding of the Third Temple in Jerusalem, can genuine peace be achieved, argues an Israeli organization dedicated to that goal.

Belgian Doctor Refused Treatment to 90 yr-old Jewish Woman

The doctor confirmed saying, “I’m not coming! Send her to Gaza for a few hours, and she will not feel the pain anymore,” after deducing she was Jewish.

A Flemish doctor who manned a medical hotline Wednesday night refused to provide help to a 90-year-old Jewish woman, Bertha Klein, who had suffered a fractured rib. “I’m not coming!” he said. “Send her to Gaza for a few hours, and she will not feel the pain anymore,” was the reply.
