Soon after actor Morgan Freeman posted a Facebook profile photo in which he was smiling against the background of Jerusalem’s OId City, his Facebook page – which is “liked” by over 18.5 million people worldwide – has become a battleground for Israel’s haters and lovers.

Abbas’ brother from Qatar, newest antagonist to choose/prefer Israeli hospital

Even as Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas continues to attack Israel and incite terrorism, his brother Abu Luay chose to receive treatment at none other than an Israeli hospital.

Abbas’ brother was hospitalized at Assuta Medical Center in northern Tel Aviv, as Yedioth Aharonoth exposed on Wednesday morning.

Abu Luay, who lives in Qatar, came down with cancer. He decided specifically to come to the Tel Aviv hospital for treatment, where other family members of Abbas have been treated in the past. Continue Reading »

(JTA) A French appeals court upheld the hate-crime convictions of activists who called for a boycott of Israel at a demonstration.

The ruling delivered last week by the French Cassation Court concerned seven activists whom a criminal appeals court in Caen in southern France slapped with a $1,000 fine each and a conviction for calling for discriminatory acts during the 2010 demonstration outside a supermarket that sold Israeli goods.

UK finally ends funding NGO for inciting to hatred & violence against Jews

 

After the Telegraph released secret recordings of the Pro-Palestine ‘War on Want’ activities of promoting an academic boycott of Israel (since 2003) and its funding Apartheid Week on various UK university campuses, the British gov’t ended its funding.

Georgia becomes sixth American state to ratify anti-BDS legislation

 

#BDSfail: The U.S. States that have passed anti-BDS legislation before Georgia are, Florida, Illinois, South Carolina, Indiana & Arizona.

WASHINGTON — Georgia became the sixth state to pass a law targeting the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement against Israel, and the fifth to include settlements as protected from boycott.

The bill was approved March 24 by the State Senate in a 41-8 vote. Two days earlier, the Georgia House of Representatives passed the measure in a 95-71 vote.

BDS Demands EU officials boycott anti-BDS conference in Jerusalem

 

Leaders of the anti-Israel movement urged EU foreign affairs chief Federica Mogherini to stop EU’s ambassador to the Jewish State from attending the Yedioth Ahronoth’s anti-BDS conference in Jerusalem, scheduled for this Monday.

Berlin – Student association at the University of Vienna issued a statement on Wednesday, declaring their opposition to every form of anti-Semitism, including the BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) movement targeting Israel.

Variety magazine rejects anti-Israel BDS ad

 

#BDSfail: The refused advertisement by the rabid anti-Israel group, the Jewish Voice for Peace, was to say: ‘Don’t endorse Israeli apartheid.’

Entertainment magazine Variety recently refused to publish an advertisement placed by the extreme anti-Zionist Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP), that said “Don’t endorse Israeli apartheid.”

The ad was initially paid for by JVP, which supports the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement against Israel. JVP claimed Monday that the magazine initially accepted payment for the ad, but then said it could not publish it as it was, and that “it would need to have a softer tone.”

Around 500 anti-Israel posters are being removed from London Underground trains after sparking outrage that echoed all the way from the British capital to Jerusalem.

The posters were put up by pro-Palestinian activists as part of the annual “Israel Apartheid Week,” which began in the United Kingdom on Sunday.

A spokeswoman for Transport for London, the authority responsible for the underground “Tube” network, said the ads had been posted without authorization and constituted “an act of vandalism which we take extremely seriously.” Continue Reading »

#BDSfail: Facebook Protest Forces Anti-Israel Billboard in Chicago Taken Down

 

Due to the collective response from Israel supporters, the billboard company relented and agreed on Friday to remove the discriminatory ad.

A massive online campaign demanding that a Chicago advertisement agency remove an offensive pro-BDS billboard calling on motorists boycott the Jewish state has borne fruits, as the agency eventually relented and agreed to take down the offensive sign.

Posted on the major highway I-294 by the Lamar Advertising agency, the huge billboard directed motorists to visit stopfundingapartheid.org, a rabid anti-Israeli organization. It read in massive letters: “Boycott Israel Until Palestinians Have Equal Rights.”
