Donald Duck in Egypt calls for Israel’s destruction

 

The Egyptian personality who does Donald Duck’s voice for Disney Middle East, says he wishes Israel would be ‘demolished’.

The Egyptian man whose claim to fame is voicing Donald Duck for Disney Middle East has openly called for the destruction of Jewish state, while vehemently denying that he hates the Jews.

On Sunday, Wael Mansour, who identifies himself as the “official voice of Donald Duck” in the region, posted the following on his Twitter account:

Sinai Terrorists say their group was target of Israeli drone strike

Sinai Al-Qaida-linked terrorist group Ansar Bayt Al-Maqdis, says 4 of its members were killed while preparing to fire rocket into Israel (cities).

Egyptian army reports no drone attack ever occurred.

 

 

An Al-Qaida-linked group active in the Sinai Peninsula said Saturday that its fighters were the target of a reported Israeli drone strike into Egyptian territory, a rare operation that could indicate increased Egyptian-Israeli security cooperation against militants in the lawless border zone.

Ansar Bayt Al-Maqdis, in a statement posted on a militant website, said that a Israel Defense Forces drone that crossed into Egyptian airspace killed four fighters as they were preparing a cross-border rocket strike into Israel. Continue Reading »

Egypt:There Was NO Israeli Airstrike in Sinai

Spokesman for the Egyptian army: ‘There is no truth whatsoever that Israel attacked in the Sinai.’

Egypt denied on Friday evening that Israel had carried out an airstrike in the Sinai.

At least five Egyptian terrorists were reportedly killed as they prepared to launch a rocket into Israel.

Some sources spoke of an Israeli air strike conducted from Israeli air space, but the Egyptian military denied this.

 

“There is no truth whatsoever to any Israeli strikes inside Egyptian territory and the claims that there is Egyptian and Israeli coordination on the matter is utterly baseless,” military spokesman Colonel Ahmed Aly said in a statement quoted by AFP. Continue Reading »

WATCH: U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv closed over terror threat

US State Department instructs 14 Middle East missions/embassies to remain closed on Sunday based on security intel concerns.

U.S. embassies that would normally be open this Sunday – including those in Tel Aviv, Cairo and Amman – will be closed that day because of unspecified security concerns, the U.S. State Department said on Thursday.

CBS News reported that the embassy closings were tied to U.S. intelligence about an Al-Qaida plot against U.S. diplomatic posts in the Middle East and other Muslim countries. CBS said the intelligence did not mention a specific location. Continue Reading »

The visit on Monday comes as Egyptian authorities are investigating the role of Abbas’ rival Palestinian group Hamas in a 2011 prison break that freed Morsi and several other members of the Muslim Brotherhood who had been detained under the previous regime. Continue Reading »

Hamas claims Egypt is attempting to reclaim sovereignty over Gaza

The Hamas terrorist group, which controls Gaza, is upset with Egypt over its actions to shut down the smuggling tunnels which are used to transfer goods, weapons and even terrorists between the Sinai and Gaza.

Since the Egyptian military overthrew Islamist President Mohammed Morsi, whose Muslim Brotherhood movement is Hamas’s parent movement, the Egyptian army has been operating in the Sinai to eliminate terrorist cells who take advantage of the lawlessness in the region to carry out terrorist attacks.

Egyptian security officials arrested a Palestinian in connection to the 15th bomb blast that destroyed a Sinai gas pipeline that supplies Jordan.

Egyptian security officials arrested a Palestinian Authority Arab man on Friday in connection to a bomb blast which targeted a gas pipeline in Sinai last week, security officials told the Bethlehem-based Ma’an news agency.

Mohamed Abu Hashem, 30, was detained in the Sinai Peninsula while trying to return to Gaza, Egyptian officials told Ma’an, and faces charges of blowing up a gas pipeline in north Sinai last Sunday.

U.S. Finalizing Delivery of F-16 Fighter Jets to Egypt

The White House decided to expedite transfer of F-16 fighter jets to Egypt despite Morsi’s overthrow.

The United States plans to go through with the delivery of four F-16 fighter jets to Egypt in the coming weeks, despite the overthrow of Islamist President Mohammed Morsi, U.S. officials told the Reuters news agency on Wednesday.

The clarification came as Washington deliberated whether to call the ouster of Egypt’s elected leader a military coup.

A decision to brand Morsi’s ouster a coup would, by law, require the Obama administration to halt aid to the Egyptian army.

FOUND: Remains of rocket fired from Egypt last week

The rocket attack last Thursday had been the 1st to hit near Israel’s southern tourist city since a similar attack back in April.

Israeli troops found the remains on Tuesday of the first rocket to be fired from Egypt since the July 3 overthrow of the Islamist government there, a military official said.

Both Israelis and Egyptians reported hearing several explosions in the southern city of Eilat on Thursday, the day after President Mohammed Morsi was toppled from power in Egypt.

Muslim Brotherhood Official: Egypt’s Army ‘Worse Than the Jews’

Muslim Brotherhood leaders and Egypt’s ranking Army officers traded blame about the ‘massacre’ in Cairo on Monday.

Egypt’s temporary President Adli Mansour announced the establishment of a commission of inquiry which will investigate the events surrounding the deaths of at least 51 people Monday in clashes outside a military building in Cairo. At least 435 people were wounded as well in the incident.

Most of those killed were Muslim Brotherhood members, and the chain of events leading to the deaths were being hotly contested by the Brotherhood and the Egyptian Army. The Brotherhood claimed that those killed were innocent, doing nothing more than holding a sit-in against the ousting of Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi in what they described as an “illegal coup.”
