Gazans on Monday joined in worldwide Muslim demonstrations, many of them violent, against the satirical French weekly Charlie Hebdo, which responded to the recent jihadist attack on its Paris office by publishing a caricature of Prophet Mohammed on its latest cover.

An official with the Hamas Islamist terrorist organization warned on Wednesday that Gaza could “become” a breeding ground for extremism, unless the world forks over more funds to rebuild after Hamas’s latest terror war against Israel.

“Our message to the world, which is scared of terrorism and extremism, is that the delay in rebuilding Gaza and the continuing blockade against it will make it a ripe environment for the spread of extremism and terrorism,” Khalil al-Haya told a Gaza City meeting of Hamas MPs.

Israel security firm releases 50 killed terrorists’ names previously ‘concealed by Hamas’

 

 

Security assessment highlights how keeping names unpublished makes number of killed ‘civilians’ higher, as Hamas employs a “deliberate policy of concealment to serve diplomatic campaign against Israel.”

An Israeli defense analysis center released on Thursday the names of 50 Gazan terrorists killed in combat with Israel this summer, whose names have been concealed by Hamas from Palestinian casualty lists.

The Tel Aviv-based Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center said all of the combatant casualties were members of Hamas’s military wing, the Izzadin Al-Kassam Brigades.

“The names did not show up in other casualty lists publicized by organizations affiliated with Hamas and the Palestinian Authority,” said the Center, which is a part of the Israeli Intelligence and Heritage Commemoration Center, founded by leading members of the Israeli intelligence community. Israeli Aircraft Hits Gaza Terror Sites in Retaliation for Rocket-Fire

Israeli aircraft hit Gaza for the first time since an August truce ended 50 days of war after Palestinian terrorists fired a rocket at a southern Israeli town, witnesses and the army said early Saturday.

A spokesman for Gaza’s Hamas-run health ministry said there were no casualties in the air strike, which came just hours after the rocket hit an open field in southern Israel on Friday without causing casualties or damage.

It was the third instance of rocket fire from Gaza since the August 26 truce between Israel and the territory’s Islamist de facto rulers Hamas.

The suspects include Jenin resident Yasmin Sha’aban, who was the designated suicide bomber. She planned to wear an explosive belt hidden under her clothes while disguised as a pregnant Jewish woman. Sha’aban intended to obtain an entry permit into Israel for medical reasons and use it to carry out a suicide attack in the Tel Aviv area.

A jury will determine how much money the Jordanian-based bank, found guilty of violating the Anti-Terrorism Act, owes in damages to the American victims of Hamas terror attacks the Arab Bank funded.

Arab Bank will face a jury trial in May to determine how much money it owes in damages to victims of Hamas terrorist attacks in Israel, a court order stated.

In September a federal jury found Arab Bank liable for providing material support to Hamas in two dozen attacks attributed to the terrorist group. Nearly 300 Americans who were either victims or related to victims of the attacks were plaintiffs in the suit.

The unity government’s six-month term has expired, Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said at a press conference in Gaza City, adding that talks would take place regarding a future government, Palestinian News Agency Ma’an reported.

In an interview with the Italian newspaper La Repubblica, Suha Arafat argued that the Palestinians’ best hope lies in negotiation rather than armed struggle. She said that the unequal strengths of the Israelis and Palestinians would lead to the Palestinians being crushed in an armed fight, while negotiations would expose Israel’s unwillingness to make peace.

Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri on Sunday called the UN mechanism “unacceptable, inefficient.”

The UN announced the plan in September, creating a system to bring in badly needed reconstruction materials while sidelining Hamas.

Despite its unhappiness with the system, Abu Zuhri gave no indication that Hamas will disrupt the shipments.
