Palestinians must learn from the Jews, Islamic Jihad leader Ramadan Shalah advises, so they will aspire to fight more vigorously for Jerusalem.

 

Islamic Jihad leader Dr. Ramadan Abdullah Shalah is no stranger to controversy, and last week whipped up a fresh batch with his contention that Jews love Jerusalem more than Muslims do, Army Radio reported on Monday.

Speaking at a religious conference in Tehran last week, Shalah’s unexpected contention was not meant as rare praise for the Jews’ religious devotion. Iran’s defense minister on Saturday commended Palestinian organizations in the Gaza Strip for firing dozens of rockets into southern Israel last week, stating that  “the operational power of the Resistance against the Zionist regime is a thousand times more than what it was before.”

Sporadic rocket fire from the Gaza Strip fell in southern Israel on Thursday evening hours after the Islamic Jihad claimed that Egypt had brokered a ceasefire to end two days of hostilities that has seen nearly 70 rockets fall in the South.

IAF Jets Hit More Terror Targets in 2nd Round of Retaliatory Strikes in Gaza

Amid Israeli calls to go in and retake Gaza, Air Force Jets hit additional targets following latest round of Gaza’s rocket fire, as Islamic Jihad claims Egypt brokered a ceasefire.

The Air Force hit several terror targets in Gaza on Thursday afternoon, following a wave of rocket attacks on southern Israel on Thursday morning.

IAF commanders reported that all warplanes involved had returned safely to their bases.

“The IDF will not tolerate any attempt to harm Israel’s citizens or soldiers, and will continue to take determined action against any party that uses terrorism against the state of Israel,” IDF spokespeople said. Continue Reading »
