US-Israeli relations have suffered tremendously over the past month, with the State Department making multiple condemnations against Israel for both building Jewish homes in Jerusalem and for increasing its fight against Palestinian Arab terror.

However, it has not damaged the military cooperation between them, as the Israel Aerospace Industries, together with representatives of the Israeli Ministry of Defense announced Tuesday that Israel will acquire a new squadron of F-35 jets from the US Army and Lockheed-Martin. Continue Reading »

Netanyahu Answers American Criticism in Foreign Press

Israel’s PM says American criticism of Jews properly buying a home ’causes uproar’ only because it’s in Jerusalem. ‘It’s “baffling to me, you know, Arabs buy apartments in Jewish neighborhoods.’

By Ari Yashar

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has been on a whirlwind American tour, speaking before the UN General Assembly, meeting US President Barack Obama, and starting Wednesday night speaking to several international media networks. That point has raised eyebrows given the fact he hasn’t given Israeli media an interview for many long years.

Two issues have caused ire in the White House since Netanyahu’s arrival, namely Israel’s announced construction plan for 2,610 homes in Jerusalem on Wednesday which the US harshly condemned, and dozens of Jewish families moving into eleven apartments in the Shiloach neighborhood (known as Silwan by local Arabs) in Jerusalem. Survey: Israelis’ confidence in Obama is higher than ever before

Latest Pew Research survey shows Israel as resolutely pro-U.S. & very supportive of its use of drones & surveillance, in the fight against terrorists.

The fact that Israelis are one of the most staunchly pro-American people in the world is not new. But that their confidence in Barack Obama’s ability to handle world affairs climbed dramatically in 2014 to reach an all-time high? That will surely surprise and confound both supporters and detractors of the U.S. president.

The pro-Palestinian narrative has become more vicious” with chants that say “Death to Israel” and signs that refer to Jews, not Israelis.

Fallout from the hostilities between Israel and Hamas is spreading across Europe and the United States. Protests about the conflict have flared up, much like they did during past battles, increasingly turning confrontational, notably in the United States, Israel’s staunchest ally.
