VP Biden to Skip On Netanyahu’s Congressional Speech

Refraining from specifying his destination, the U.S. Vice President’s office announces Biden will not attend Israel’s PM’s address on March 3 because he will be abroad.

US Vice President Joe Biden will miss Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to a joint meeting of Congress, his office said on Friday.

Biden’s office said he will be traveling abroad.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is very knowledgeable about Iran, and therefore it is appropriate for him to address Congress about Iran, Fox News political commentator Bill O’Reilly said on Tuesday.

As part of a segment on his show “The O’Reilly Factor,” the host expressed his disagreement with fellow Fox News senior correspondent Chris Wallace, who said last week that he was “shocked” by the way Netanyahu was invited to speak before Congress in March — by House of Representatives Speaker John Boehner without going through the White House, which by protocol is the body that invites foreign speakers to Congress.

White House Yells ‘Foul’ Over Netanyahu’s Invitation to Address Congress

White House spokesman says PM Netanyahu’s address to Congress ‘departs from protocol’ after it says Jerusalem has not given proper notice of the invitation.

The White House gave an icy response to news that Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was invited to address Congress next month, saying it was a departure from diplomatic protocol, according to AFP.

“We haven’t heard from the Israelis directly about the trip at all,” White House press secretary Josh Earnest said. “The typical protocol would suggest that the leader of a country would contact the leader of another country when he is traveling there… So this particular event seems to be a departure from that protocol.”

According to an article published last week by Foreign Policy, over the past year the Obama Administration State Department cited Israel for “unacceptable behavior” more times than Pakistan, Russia, Egypt, China, Afghanistan and Iraq. The article examined how many times a country’s actions were condemned as “unacceptable,” and Israel came in fourth, right after Syria, Iran and North Korea.

US Affiliate of Israeli Solar Company to Build Solar Field In America’s South

 

Georgia Governor Nathan Deal, “This is the 20th year that Georgia has had a trade relationship with Israel, which has been proven to be successful for both sides.”

The US affiliate of Israeli solar company Energiya won a $30 million contract to build a 17.68 megawatt solar field in southeast Georgia. It will be the first utility level solar field in that part of the state.

The 79-acre field will be constructed in Glynn County, Georgia and is expected to be interconnected by the last day of 2015. The power purchase agreement with the Georgia Power company promised 20 years of power.

According to the Shin Bet,  Adam Everett Livvix, a 30 yr-old Texan Christian who was living in the Palestinian territories, was approached about assassinating U.S. President Barack Obama.

Why is the Obama White House seeking to provoke Israel?

Although Israel and the United States may have different agendas, criticizing the other’s position on their merits or demerits is expected. But public scatological ad hominems has no place in an alliance between allies.

Israel’s Plant for Producing F-35 Stealth Aircraft Wings Opens

Defense Minister acknowledges that this $2.7B deal between Israel & the US for F-35 wing production proves a strong bond with Washington, despite past arguments.

Israel Aerospace Industries inaugurated Tuesday a new plant for the manufacture of American fighter pilot wings for F-35 aircraft near Ben Gurion Airport.

As part of the deal, the IDF will receive 19 stealth aircraft at a cost of $2.7 billion, which will be deducted from US aid funds to Israel.

In exchange, every year – starting in 2016 – the new plant is expected to provide about a third of the world’s production of F-35 wings, with about 810 wings per year – a production volume worth roughly 2.5 billion dollars. Continue Reading »
