The Israeli Defense Forces carried out two waves of air strikes on targets in the Gaza Strip on Sunday after a projectile fired by a Salafi group pledging allegiance to the Islamic State organization landed on a street in the southern Israeli town of Sderot.

A Code Red siren was heard in the region. The IDF confirms that a rocket shot from Beit Hanoun in Gaza landed in Sderot.

Israel Police Report: After “Color Red” warning siren was activated in Southern Israel, an explosion was heard by the residents in the city of Sderot, of the rocket fired by Palestinian terrorist from Gaza, that caused damage to a building, but no injuries.

Gaza rocket hits Israel in open area, no injuries or damages reported

 

IDF sources reported the “Red Alert” siren was not activated since it was tracked heading towards an open area.

A rocket from Gaza was fired on Wednesday evening towards southern Israel.

The rocket exploded in an open area of the Sha’ar Hanegev Regional Council, causing no physical injuries or damages. Security forces are searching the area.

Military sources said that the “Red Alert” siren was not activated before the rocket exploded due to the fact that it was headed towards an open area.

Rocket and mortar fire from Gaza has continued to “trickle” into Israel on occasion.

Israel Air Force bombs Hamas terror target in Gaza in retaliation for rocket fire

 

The Israel Air Force struck a Hamas military compound in the center of the Gaza Strip in the early hours of Monday in retaliation for a Gazan rockets fired on the Southern region of Israel.

The rocket was fired from the Gaza strip at southern Israel on Sunday evening setting off the color red sirens in the Sha’ar Hanegev region, sending local residents fleeing for cover.

A rocket that was fired by Gaza terrorists on Sunday evening, shortly after 11:00 p.m., exploded in an open area of the Eshkol Regional Council in southern Israel.

There were no physical injuries or damages. An IDF official noted that the “Red Alert” incoming rocket siren was not sounded due to the fact that the rocket hit an open region.

The “Red Alert” siren was heard on Wednesday night at around 11:00 p.m. (local time) in some communities in southern Israel.

Sirens were heard, among other places, in the Ashkelon and Netivot areas.

Two rockets from Gaza exploded in the Sdot Negev region. There were no physical injuries or damages.

Just last week, terrorists from Gaza fired a Grad rocket towards southern Israel. The rocket exploded near the community of Gan Yavneh, near Ashdod. Continue Reading »
