Nikki Haley resigned Tuesday as the US ambassador to the United Nations, in the latest departure from President Donald Trump’s national security team.

Meeting Haley in the Oval Office, Trump said that Haley had done a “fantastic job” and that he would “miss her”, confirming that she would leave her post at the end of the year.

Jerusalem Court: UN barred from illegal construction, theft of state land

The Jerusalem District Court accepted Regavim’s contention of illegal land appropriation and unlicensed construction projects by the United Nations, halting all work at the UN compound until approved by the State.
– Petitioner’s attorney: “The diplomatic immunity of the UN does not allow it to violate the laws of the host country.”

The Jerusalem District Court ruled this week that until a coordination mechanism is established between the state and the UN, the UN will not begin any work at a compound in the neighborhood of Armon Hanatziv.

A petition submitted by the Regavim organization in March 2017 revealed that the UN had committed a large number of building offenses in the Armon Hanatziv compound and that it had invaded acres of state land beyond the area allocated to it by the State of Israel. Continue Reading »

UN agency places blame on Israel for failed Palestinian economy

Based on “speculation and a non-scientific ‘what-if’ logic,” the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development published a report that blames Israeli military rule on the failed Palestinian economy, ignoring rampant corruption throughout the PA & Hamas governments, inept leadership, misappropriation of humanitarian aid for terror-tunnel construction, and laws deterring cooperation with Israelis.

MK Ahmad Tibi (Joint List) attacked Israel and a UN-held celebration of the 1947 Partition Plan vote which led to Israel’s Declaration of Independence, saying it is hypocritical of the state to celebrate such an event while denying Palestinians independence.

Speaking at a United Nations convention held in observance of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, Tibi panned Israel for what he says are discriminatory acts.

The United Nations is expected to announce Monday that Israel will head efforts to assist agriculture worldwide through the analysis of satellite images derived from its Venus satellite.

The Venus vegetation and environment monitoring microsatellite, launched into space in late July, was developed by Israel Aerospace Industries in collaboration with the French space agency CNES.

Israel’s Rafael Advanced Defense Systems produced the satellite’s innovative electric propulsion system, and defense electronics contractor Elbit Systems provided advanced high-resolution cameras that will enable the satellite to better monitor the earth’s vegetation and any changes on the ground. With bad press exposing extrajudicial killings in Gaza and Abbas’ ‘Pay for Slay’ to reward those who murder Israelis, Trump and congress are debating funding cuts, but the Arabs have a found a way to do an end-run around Congress and get even more than the $380,593,116 it got in 2015 – by having the UN decide how much.

Amb. Nikki Haley threatens US exit from UNHRC if Israel charged at Int’l Court

 

US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley is unhappy the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights is taking steps outside the purview of its mandate in turning Israel to the International Court of Justice saying, “It’s actions like these that are forcing us to evaluate the United States’ future on the Human Rights Council.”
