Israeli Tech Briefs – U.S. President Awards Israeli for High-Tech Innovation

President Obama presents highest U.S. honor for technological achievement to Eli Harari, co-founder of SanDisk, whose company pioneered the use of flash computer storage technology.

SanDisk co-founder Eli Harari, whose company pioneered the use of flash computer storage technology, has won this year’s National Medal of Technology and Innovation, the highest U.S. honor for technological achievement.

“One month after Neil Armstrong landed on the moon, Eli Harari came to America from Israel to study the effects of radiation on electronics in space,” U.S. President Barack Obama said at the award ceremony last week. “The physics he learned as a PhD student at Princeton led him to co-found SanDisk, and, eventually, to the creation and commercialization of flash storage technology.”

Only Out of Their Love For Israel – The Jewish State’s Honorary Consuls

Despite not being Israeli citizens, some 77 Jewish & Christian figures around the globe serve as honorary consuls for the State of Israel.

They are the long arm of Israeli diplomacy, and they aren’t even Israeli citizens. They help foster strong relations, and open doors that would otherwise be shut. They are motivated by love for Israel, and, no, they receive no monetary compensation. In fact, they invest much of their own time and money to fulfill their important diplomat mission.

Introducing the honorary consuls of the State of Israel, a total of 77 specifically accredited persons, many of them non-Israeli Jews, but also including a large number of Bible-believing Christians.

Jerusalem Arab arrested for incitement against Israelis on Facebook page

The Old City resident’s personal Facebook account page praised the terrorist who ran down & killed Israelis at the Jerusalem light rail & called for additional ramming attacks “for the sake of Jerusalem.”

An Arab resident of the Old City of Jerusalem was arrested on suspicion of spreading violent propaganda on his Facebook page, police announced Monday.

Yeshiva students stabbed by Arabs in Jerusalem’s Old City

45 yr-old Jewish man arrives at police station with stab wounds to abdomen along with yeshiva students that suffered wounds to neck & hand.

A suspect is being held for questioning, while police are searching for additional suspects.

A 45-year-old Jewish man arrived at a police station in Jerusalem’s Old City on Monday evening with stab wounds to his abdomen. The man, who was moderately wounded, said he had been stabbed by Arabs.

No EU recognition of Palestine without Germany

Sweden’s new government officially recognized a Palestinian state on Oct. 30. Last Tuesday, Spain’s parliament approved a nonbinding resolution recognizing a Palestinian state, following similar motions in Britain and Ireland. Germany, Israel’s closest European ally, has made clear it will not follow that lead.

VIDEO: Palestinian PM Screams ‘Foul’ After Car Stopped by Israel Police for Speeding

Ma’an News Agency reports Palestinian PM Rami Hamdallah’s convoyed was stopped again while traveling to Ramallah, this time according to Israel Police, the convoy was speeding.

Israel Police on Sunday stopped the convoy of the Palestinian prime minister in the West Bank, Ma’an news agency reported.

The convoy of Rami Hamdallah was traveling between Tulkarem and Ramallah, when it was stopped for about half an hour by police, according to the report.

Police said the convoy was held up because it was speeding near the settlement of Eli, but an official from Hamdallah’s office denied that to Ma’an.
