ISMAILIA – Most Christians living near Egypt’s border with Israel are fleeing their homes after Islamist militants made death threats and gunmen attacked a Coptic-owned shop, a priest said on Friday.

Muslim Brotherhood says it will not meet with Israel

Two days after Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi spoke before the UN General Assembly and urged action on the Palestinian statehood bid, the Muslim Brotherhood stated that until a breakthrough is made in the Israeli-Palestinian peace process, senior Egyptian officials will not meet with their Israeli counterparts.

Wearing Coat in Summer Heat Gave Away Terrorist in Jerusalem

26 yr old terrorist planned to use a large knife for Hizme checkpoint attack.

A coat worn despite the summer heat gave away a terrorist, 26, who planned an attack at the Hizme checkpoint, in northern Jerusalem.

The terrorist arrived at the checkpoint at noontime Friday. The fact that he was wearing a coat despite the great heat aroused the Border Police’s suspicion. They conducted a search and found a large kitchen knife in the man’s possession.

The man admitted that he had planned to stab hitchhikers at the Hizme station. When he failed to find any hitchhikers there, he decided to try and stab a policeman. Continue Reading »

The medical state of Daniel Fahima, the man who was most seriously injured in the Burgas terror attack in July, is improving. On Tuesday, Fahima managed to stand up for the first time since he was hurt.

Senior Jewish Figure Threatened on Streets of Berlin

A Berlin police spokesman said ‘mutual threats’ during the Yom Kippur incident were being investigated, but would not give more details.

“The culprit evidently felt provoked by the sight of a Jewish prayer book,” said Stephan Kramer, general secretary of the Central Council of Jews.

A city police spokesman said “mutual threats” during the Wednesday incident were being investigated, but declined to give more details.

Hizbullah has increased the size and scope of its assistance to the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, as he fights to retain his position as leader of Syria in the face of a wide-ranging rebellion. According to a report in Thursday’s Washington Post, Hizbullah has sent special advisers to Syria in order to assist Assad in beating back rebel forces.

The video shows Ron Bronstein, an enlistee in the Israel Air Force, “shuffling” through the basic training process to the tune of LMFAO’s Party Rock Anthem.

In the video, Bronstein dances in the midst of many mundane basic training backdrops that are all to familiar to Israelis who have done military service.

British family claims they own Negev village land

Mark Ismailoff, who moved to Israel from the UK in 1979, lives in Jerusalem. But his sights are on the Negev, where he owns 6.25 percent of a 640,000-square meter plot of land southeast of Beersheba that he inherited from his grandfather – who bought it in 1935.

Standing on the plot today, however, is the unrecognized Beduin village El-Zarnoug. Ismailoff, aided by Regavim – a group which defines itself as having a “Zionist agenda to protect national lands” – is trying to force the state to stop building on the land, vacate a school and a kindergarten built there, and eventually relocate all of the residents.

El Jueves’ latest edition, which hit Spanish newsstands on Wednesday, shows several Muslims in a police lineup under the title “But…does anyone know what Mohammad looks like?”

Iranian delegates to the United Nation General Assembly went on a shopping spree during their visit to New York, the Daily Mail reported Thursday, citing a source saying sanctions imposed on Iran make it harder to get foreign goods back home.

(CNN) — Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas asked the U.N. General Assembly on Thursday for nonmember observer status, one step up from the authority’s current position as a permanent observer.

Abbas was later followed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who criticized Abbas’ speech but focused more on excoriating Iran’s attempts to develop nuclear weapons.
