Banned Israeli appeals German court’s ruling on Kuwait Air’s racist passenger policy

The Israeli man’s appeal argues that the Frankfurt district court’s controversial ruling facilitated “anti-Semitic discrimination to be imported into [Germany] and helped whitewash and sanitize it…We cannot allow our laws to be subverted by the state-sponsored racism.”

An Israeli man appealed on Monday against a German court’s ruling upholding Kuwait Airways’ right to ban him from boarding a flight due to his citizenship, a legal decision that triggered sharp criticism from German officials and Jewish groups.

The appeal argues that the ruling accepted a racist Kuwaiti law and allowed the airline to override German laws requiring that airlines transport any passenger with valid travel documents, according to the Lawfare Project, which filed the appeal. Continue Reading »

EU foreign policy chief vows to declare Jerusalem capital of Palestine

European Union’s foreign policy chief, Federica Mogherini says, ‘Only realistic solution is two states with Jerusalem as capital of both,’ adding King Abdullah of Jordan was ‘very wise man’ who should be listened to on Jerusalem, stressing how diplomatic efforts with Jordan, the US, and Russia needed to ensure Palestinians’ rights,’ she added.

The European Union chastised President Donald Trump over his hesitation to renew a waiver permitting the US embassy to remain in Tel Aviv, and warned him of “serious repercussions” if the US recognizes Israel’s capital city, Jerusalem.

Pro-Palestinian NGO maneuvering for control over Israel’s archeological discoveries

While cynical resolutions are passed without credence at UNESCO and other United Nations NGOs with impunity, it would be disastrous for Israel to intrust “neutral” international bodies to oversee archeology discoveries in Jerusalem, for surely first the Jewish connection would disappear, followed by Christianity’s.

In Israel, archeology is far more than just science.

Indeed, perhaps more than any other country, the stakes of antiquities unearthed here could not be higher in terms of geopolitical implications used by warring factions to determine “facts on the ground” in the most contested region in the world.

Sour Grapes: Arab Knesset Member laments UN’s celebration of Israel’s independence

Israeli Arab parliamentarian, MK Ahmad Tibi exploits platform at the UN to censure Israel for celebrating the 1947 Partition Plan that subsequently led to its independence.

MK Ahmad Tibi (Joint List) attacked Israel and a UN-held celebration of the 1947 Partition Plan vote which led to Israel’s Declaration of Independence, saying it is hypocritical of the state to celebrate such an event while denying Palestinians independence.

Speaking at a United Nations convention held in observance of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, Tibi panned Israel for what he says are discriminatory acts.

UNHRC to become BDS’ greatest champion

As well as some 50 int’l companies, approximately 100 Israeli companies operating in the West Bank and east Jerusalem received a formal warning they will appear on the UNHRC blacklist.

Jerusalem to snub UNESCO prize honoring Israel’s innovative Volcani Institute

In light of UNESCO’s overtly anti-Israel character, Jerusalem has decided not to attend the 2017 Life Sciences ceremony, awarding this year’s prize to the Israeli research center, which is part of the Agriculture Ministry.
• “The prize awarded to the Volcani Institute will not serve as a fig leaf to legitimize the political resolutions of this organization, which harm the State of Israel,” commented an Israeli gov’t official.

The United Nations Education, Science and Culture Organization (UNESCO) has chosen to honor the Israeli Volcani Institute, but the Israeli government has decided to snub the event.

Israel’s envoy to UNESCO, ‘The days of passing countless anti-Israel resolutions in 5 minutes are over. From now on, UNESCO will need to devote dozens of hours, even add additional days for debate. Then members will decide if wasted time for useless resolutions that are purely political and have nothing to do with education, culture or science were worth it.’

Iraq outlaws displaying Israeli flags after Jerusalem’s support for Kurdish independence

Although denied by Jerusalem, Iraq’s central government accused Israel of orchestrating the Kurdish vote for their independence, so the government’s decision to criminalize all who raise the Israeli flag in public comes as no surprise.

Iraq’s parliament in Baghdad voted on Tuesday to criminalize flying the Israeli flag in the country, after they appeared at several Kurdish rallies in the lead up and aftermath of a banned independence referendum last month.

In Unimaginably Absurd Move, European Group Awards Man for Defending Evil

European group awards Palestinian lawyer (whose own terrorist son murdered 3 on a bus) a “human rights” award for defending the wife of another terrorist, that shot, stabbed and assisted in beheading four Rabbis during prayers in a Jerusalem synagogue.

On Sunday, the Geneva-based International Institute for Human Rights and Peace and the Caen Memorial for Peace presented a “human rights” award to Palestinian Arab lawyer Mohammed Allyan.

Allyan was honored for his legal representation three years ago of the wife of one of the terrorists involved in the synagogue massacre in Jerusalem.

REPORT: Turkish Airlines blocks Israeli judo team from flying to sporting event

Having been refused to board a Turkish Airlines flight to Istanbul,  the 12 Israeli judokas will now have to travel to Amman, Jordan to receive their visas allowing them to enter and compete in the Grand Slam event in UAE.

The Israeli judo team, which was supposed to fly to the United Arab Emirates via Istanbul for the Grand Slam event, was stranded at Ben Gurion Airport after Turkish Airlines refused to allow them on its plane, Channel 1 reported.
