UNRWA Deceives by Insinuating Gaza’s Fuel Shortage is Israel’s Fault

UNRWA purposefully doesn’t mention the Egyptian blockade on Gaza, with their closure of the tunnels that had provided smuggled (stolen?) fuel.

UNRWA also neglects to mention Hamas’ refusal to pay the PA fuel prices, or how Hamas is exploiting Gazans’ suffering to get a much lower price for fuel.

Fascist Nazi-Style Rallies at Arab University is Not New

Memri TV Video reveals that Nazi salutes at Islamic Jihad rally at university campus are part of a wider, historical trend of Nazi glorification.

Just over a week since an American university severed ties with the Hamas-linked Al-Quds University in Jerusalem, after pictures emerged showing a Nazi-style on-campus rally by Islamic Jihad in November, further evidence of fascist-style events at the flagship Palestinian Arab institution has emerged.

Video footage, posted by MEMRI (the Middle East Media Research Institute), shows clips from two separate rallies at Al-Quds University, in which Islamic Jihad members, cheered on by other students, take part in a live performance at which they brandish imitation assault rifles and black Islamist flags, and give Nazi salutes. Despite Nazi similarities, Bard College decides to stay with Al-Quds

Bard College in New York, says it will maintain affiliation with Al-Quds despite Nazi style rally held by Islamic Jihad.

The US university with the closest ties to Al-Quds University, Bard College in New York, has announced it will continue its partnership, despite two other American colleges severing ties with the Palestinian school.

The decision by Bard – announced late on Friday in a statement to The Jerusalem Post – came only days after Brandeis University and Syracuse University formally ended their ties with Al- Quds, after a rally held by Islamic Jihad on the Al-Quds campus, which its president, Sari Nusseibeh, did not initially condemn. Brandeis U cuts partnership with Palestinian university after its Nazi-style rally

 

Brandeis University found Palestinian demonstrators cheerfully waving Nazi flags & offering traditional Nazi salute as the reason for the suspension.

Brandeis University has suspended its partnership with the Palestinian Al-Quds University.

Brandeis University President Frederick Lawrence made the announcement Monday, saying the university will re-evaluate the relationship in the future. The universities have been sister institutions since 1998.

The decision was made in light of recent events at the university, which has campuses in Jerusalem, Abu-Dis and Al-Bireh, including a November 5 Nazi-style demonstration at the main campus.

During the demonstration, protesters marched in black military gear with fake automatic weapons while waving flags and offering the traditional Nazi salute.

‘NY Times’ attacking Jerusalem again, now battling over Iran policy

 

NYT’s editorial board blasts Israel’s PM for his loud opposition to White House policies; writes if diplomacy fails, “PM & the hard-line interest groups will own the failure”.

The petty attack is because the PM quoted a 2005 Times editorial that applauded a deal that would lead North Korea to dismantle its nuclear weapons program.

Pro-Palestinian activists attempt to arrest Meridor & Dichter in Spain fails

 

 

Pro-Palestinian activists sought arrest warrants for the arrest of Avi Dichter, the Shin Bet chief during Shehada’s assassination in 2002 and Dan Meridor, a cabinet minister during the Marmara fiasco.

Pro-Palestinian activists in Spain demanded arrest warrants be issued against former Shin Bet Chief Avi Dichter and former Minister Dan Meridor, on a visit to the country.

The attempt failed, and Dichter and Meridor, who have stayed in Spain for three days, will return on Saturday to Israel.

Another notable incident occurred with Brig. Gen. (Ret.) Doron Almog, who did not go down his airplane in Britain after he heard he was to be arrested in 2005

Lebanon rejects rumors that imported Israeli tomatoes cause cancer

 

Lebanon’s newspaper, ‘Daily Star’: Media reports tomatoes  causing vomiting and fatigue

The report came after similar reports disparaging Israeli tomatoes in the Egyptian press earlier this week.

Lebanon’s Agriculture Ministry on Friday denied media reports that Israeli tomatoes on the Lebanese market were causing sickness and harm to local residents, The Daily Star reported.

The Star quoted the Ministry as saying it was responding to reports that Israeli tomatoes were causing vomiting and fatigue, and were injected with cancerous cells.

“Shipments of imported tomatoes haven’t entered the Lebanese market for one month and only local production is being consumed,” the ministry said in a statement.

Pro-Palestinian Students Deal Blow to UK Campus Harmony

10 months ago a Free Palestine Society debate at the university was deemed “one of the worst examples of hate speech in recent years”. Little has changed.

A university campus known as a hotbed of anti-Israel activity is once more in the spotlight after students condemned what they termed Israeli attacks on Palestinians’ right to education.

The students’ union at Middlesex University in north London has put up a plaque claiming that: “Checkpoints, attacks on universities and limitations on movement seriously hinder the ability of students in Palestine to learn.”

Hamas schoolbooks: Torah is ‘fabricated’

 

In a NYT report,  Hamas introduced its own textbooks into Gaza schools as part of their effort to spread its ideology. The schoolbooks don’t recognize Israel and describe Palestine as encompassing everything between the Jordan River & the Mediterranean Sea.

Hamas has introduced its own textbooks into schools in the Gaza Strip this fall, as part of an effort to spread its militant ideology among Palestinian youth, The New York Times reported on Sunday.

According to the report, the books do not recognize modern Israel, or mention the Oslo Accords that Israel signed with the Palestine Liberation Organization in the early 1990s.

While the annoying and very frustrating anti-Zionist Neturei Karta makes its debut, the ‘Jewish Voice for Peace’ has made it to the list once again.

The Anti-Defamation League released a list of the top 10 most “influential and active anti-Israel groups” in the U.S. on Monday, highlighting organizations it sees as being “fixated with delegitimizing Israel” and providing “misleading narratives” about Israel.

An Israel advocacy group has launched a transit campaign in opposition to anti-Israel ads on Vancouver buses and light rail stations.

StandWithUs, a right-leaning Israel advocacy group, began running two advertisements on Monday meant to combat the ads put up by the Palestine Awareness Committee.

The pro-Israel ads include one series of three maps purporting to show “Jewish Loss of Land” and are dated from 1000 BCE until “Today.” Continue Reading »

With all the world’s conflicts, the only permanent agenda point on the Geneva-based UNHRC roster for discussion is, the “Human rights situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territories”.

NEW YORK – The UN Human Rights Council in Geneva met on Monday to discuss item seven on its agenda – the human rights situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, including East Jerusalem.

Item seven is the only permanent agenda item on the UNHRC’s roster. Israel’s representative in Geneva was reportedly not present for the discussion.
