Netanyahu in Russia establishes protocols to prevent clash between troops

An Israeli left-leaning daily reported Netanyahu’s visit to Moscow appeared to reflect Jerusalem’s “lack of faith in the ability & willingness of the US to protect Israeli security interests.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Monday as part of an attempt to address Israel’s concerns about confrontations that could possibly occur between Israeli troops and Russian forces active in Syria.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Netanyahu said that an unprecedented and crucial mechanism had been established to prevent such misunderstandings.

IAEA rejects resolution to impose oversight over Israel’s nuclear facility

After the IAEA vote, PM Netanyahu said he had called 30 world leaders & convinced them to reject the Egyptian proposal considering the turmoil brewing in the Mideast, especially with Teheran’s efforts to obtain nuclear weapons.

In a move hailed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahuas a “great” diplomatic victory, the International Atomic Energy Agency handily voted down an Egyptian resolution on Thursday to force Israel to open its nuclear facilities to international inspectors.

British Petition Calls to Arrest Netanyahu Upon September Visit to UK

Israel’s Foreign Ministry: Petition signed by 40,000 to arrest PM for “war crimes” is merely a public relations stunt with no practical significance.

As of Wednesday morning, nearly 40,000 people had signed an online petition calling for the arrest of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on war crimes charges during his visit to the United Kingdom next month.

The petition was created on the British Parliament’s E-petitions website. The petition says, “Benjamin Netanyahu is to hold talks in London this September. Under international law he should be arrested for war crimes upon arrival in the U.K.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was one of 13 world leaders to make it onto Time Magazine’s list of 100 most influential people, but was chastised on its pages by former defense minister Ehud Barak for not acting tough, particularly on Iran.

Sirens went off for 2 minutes at 10:00 a.m. throughout Israel for Holocaust Remembrance Day. Jews, Christians and tourists alike stop whatever they’re doing to honor the 6 million Jews murdered during the Holocaust.

At 10 a.m. on Thursday morning, Israel came to a standstill as sirens blared throughout the country to commemorate the 6 million Jewish victims of the Nazi regime. During the two minute siren, traffic came to a standstill and people stopped working to remember the Holocaust.
