Israel Border Police arrested a Palestinian man early Thursday morning who claimed that he had planned to attack a soldier in Jerusalem. Police found a pickaxe among the 29-year-old’s belongings and he was handed over for further investigations.

At approximately 4am the man from Bethlehem approached the tunnel passage near Beit Jala where border police ordered him to stop as the tunnel is strictly for vehicle traffic and not for pedestrians. Continue Reading »

A 16-year-old Arab girl attempted to stab a border police officer with a knife near Nablus Gate in Jerusalem on Friday. The suspect is a resident of the Jabal al-Mukaber neighborhood in east Jerusalem police said.

Security personnel succeeded in disarming the woman and bringing her under control but in the process, one of them was injured lightly in the leg. The injured man received medical treatment at the scene.

Terror attack averted when sniper rifles with silencers seized by police

A major disaster has been averted with the 3 Palestinians men caught in possession of weapons in West Bank village.

A Border Guard force arrested three Palestinians near the village of Al-Khader in the West Bank on Thursday. The three were carrying sniper rifles, silencers, telescopic sights, magazines and a pocketknife.

They were turned over for questioning to security forces, who say they admitted they were planning a terror attack. The weapons were discovered during a search in the village after a Molotov cocktail was hurled at a Border Guard vehicle. An illegal Arab trying to escape from pursuing Border Police officers almost got away – until he made a near-fatal miscalculation. Now, after jumping off a bridge, the Arab was being treated in an Israeli hospital, suffering from serious injuries.

The incident occurred Thursday morning at the Kesem Junction, at the intersection of two busy highways, outside the city of Rosh Ha’ayin. An Arab taxi driver was shot in the leg Sunday after apparently trying to run over a Border Guard officer.

Both men are in mild condition. The officer was treated on site and the driver was taken to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem.

The police are investigating the incident as a nationalistically motivated attack.

According to available details, the driver, a 39-year-old man from the Jabel Mukaber neighborhood in southeast Jerusalem, arrived at an east Jerusalem police station and rammed into a delivery van trying to exit the compound. Continue Reading »

A Border Guard officer shot and killed a Palestinian youth Wednesday after he threatened troops stationed near the Cave of the Patriarchs in the West Bank city of Hebron, with what later turned out to be a toy gun.

An initial inquiry derived that the Palestinian walked up to the troops stationed at the checkpoint and pulled a gun on one of the officers. A female Border Guard officer noticed the event and fired at him, killing him. Continue Reading »

Border Guard Stabbed with 7 more Cops Injured in Jerusalem Riot

A Border Guard officer was stabbed Tuesday night when rock-throwers in the Arab Shuafat neighborhood of Jerusalem rioted.

A Border Guards officer was wounded Tuesday night when Arabs in the Shuafat area of Jerusalem rioted. The officer was stabbed by one of the rioters. At least seven other officers were injured by rocks thrown by the rioters.

Three of the officers, including the stabbing victim, were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, as was the attacker who allegedly stabbed the officer.
