Muslim MK ejected from meeting on establishing special Christian-Arab representation

Muslim MK Zoabi was forced out of a Knesset meeting for implying that a Christian Arab who supports the bill deserves violence.

 

 

A Christian Arab representative accused Arab MKs of racism and MK Hanin Zoabi (Balad) was thrown out of a heated Knesset Labor, Health and Welfare Committee meeting Wednesday on a bill giving Christians separate representation in the Advisory Committee for Equal Opportunity in Employment Commission.

The World Jewish Congress and Israel’s Knesset jointly award & publicly recognize Nazareth’s Priest Gabriel Nadaf for helping Christians integrate with Israel.

Foiled: Hamas Planned Bombing Church on Christmas Day

Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas reportedly planned to murder Egyptian Christians by bombing Churches on Holy Day.

Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood planned a series of bombings at Egyptian churches, according to a report in the Kuwaiti paper Al-Watan, according to Channel 10 news.

According to the report, the attacks were to take place on Christmas. Terrorists in Sinai had succeeded in gathering explosives for the planned attack.

Egyptian intelligence reportedly foiled the plot after discovering communications between the two groups. Intelligence agents also listened in on calls between the Muslim Brotherhood and other Gaza-based terrorist groups. Continue Reading »

Today both fight against antisemitism & advocate human rights and their love for Israel.

Bennett to Christian Leaders: ‘Stop the lies, Jerusalem isn’t occupied’

 

Bayit Yehudi leader tells visiting legislators, “Whoever thinks our capital of 3,000 years is occupied doesn’t understand anything.”

 

 

“Succot is a very Israeli holiday. When we sit in temporary huts, we can appreciate the fact that we have a permanent country,” Economy and Trade Minister Naftali Bennett told a group of Christian legislators on Sunday.

Father Gabriel Nadaf: We’re Christians….Not Christian Arabs

 

Israeli Christians should not be classified as Arabs, since the historical ethnic background of Christians in Israel is a mix of Jewish, Greek, Roman, Assyrian & other such peoples all of whom were here long before the Arab Muslims showed up.

Father Gabriel Nadaf, a Greek Orthodox priest from the area of Nazareth, continues to make headlines in the Israeli press for advocating a new alliance between local Jews and Christians in service to the State of Israel.

In an interview with Israeli website News1, Nadaf said that Christians are tired of living as dhimmis (second-class citizens) in the Muslim world, and are starting to understand that the Jewish state is their ticket out of that situation. Continue Reading »

Coptic Christian Priest assassinated in latest Egyptian violence

The murder of  Mina Aboud Sharween, a spiritual leader of Egypt’s 8 million Christians, is attributed to his supporting Morsi’s removal.

This latest sectarian attack appears to be 1st sign of ethnic violence since ouster of elected Islamist president Morsi.

CAIRO- Gunmen shot dead a Coptic Christian priest in Egypt’s lawless Northern Sinai on Saturday in what could be the first sectarian attack since the military overthrow of Islamist President Mohamed Morsi, security sources said.

Gaza’s Christians Concerned as Hamas Bans Co-Ed Schools

Another strict Islamic sharia law was passed banning co-ed schools in Gaza leaves Christians worrisome that their schools are in danger of closure.

A new law passed by the Hamas government in Gaza banning co-ed schools has left many Christians fearful that their schools are in danger of closure, according to the Beirut-based Al-Akhbar daily.

The new law, which mandates gender segregation in all schools, also bans men from teaching at girls’ schools. The law will likely force Christian educational institutions to close their doors to Muslim and Christian students alike, reported the newspaper.

Samer Badra, financial director of the Patriarchate Schools in Gaza, told Al-Akhbar, “Implementing the new education law will force Gaza’s Christian institutions to build new facilities and hire new employees to comply with the articles. Continue Reading »

Nigerian church donates another ambulance to Israel!

Once again the Nigerian church donates fully equipped ambulance to Israel’s first aid association, Magen David Adom.

Church leaders say there are 40 million Christians in Nigeria who love & support Israel.

Nigerian church and government officials last week came to Israel bearing a large financial gift for Israel’s Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency medical organization (the local equivalent of the Red Cross).

Russian parliament forming Pro-Israel caucus

An Israeli delegation met with influential Christian parliamentarians to talk about raising support for Israel by forming a Russia-Israel alliance in the Duma.

 

A select group of Russian parliament members will soon be urging their colleagues to say “da” to Israel after a delegation of Israelis took steps to initiate the formation of a pro-Israel caucus in the Duma in meetings last week in Moscow.

Pope Francis accepts President Peres’ invitation to visit Jerusalem

The Vatican’s new pontiff accepted an invitation by Israeli President Shimon Peres to visit Israel ‘with willingness & joy,’ says spokesman.

The pope accepted the invitation “with willingness and joy,” a Vatican spokesman said, but there was no indication when a trip would be made.

Christians descend on Jerusalem for Good Friday events in the Holy Land

Later today, Protestants & Roman Catholics to walk in processions following Jesus’ footsteps in Jerusalem’s Old City.

 

Hundreds of Christians are marking the crucifixion of Jesus in the Holy Land.

Worshipers have packed Jerusalem’s Holy Sepulcher church, where Jesus is believed to have been crucified, buried and resurrected, for a morning mass that started Good Friday events.
