Terrorists Fire Another Qassam Rocket at Israel

Just like Saturday night, another rocket fired by terrorists from Hamas-controlled Gaza explodes in Southern Israel. No physical injuries or damage.

Terrorists from Hamas-controlled Gaza fired a Qassam rocket at southern Israel on Sunday night.

The “Red Alert” siren was heard in the communities surrounding Gaza around 2:15 a.m. The rocket exploded in an open area of the Eshkol Regional Council, causing no physical injuries or damages.

The attack is the latest in a recent escalation in Gaza rocket attacks, which came after several months of quiet after the IDF’s Operation Pillar of Defense in November. Continue Reading »

Israel shut a crossing with the Gaza Strip on Monday, a day after rockets that were fired from the Hamas-ruled territory forced Israelis to run for cover in the middle of a Holocaust Remembrance Day ceremony.

Benny, a resident of Shaar Hanegev, recounted, “During the Holocaust Day ceremony the siren sounded. All those in the club entered the security room and after several blasts were heard from afar, we resumed the ceremony.”

Palestinian terrorists in Gaza fired two Qassam rockets toward the western Negev Wednesday morning, as Israeli children in Sderot and Sha’ar Hanegev were making their way to schools and kindergartens after the Passover holiday. No injuries or damage were reported.

2 arrested by Hamas for firing Gaza rockets into Israel

Israel Radio: Hamas arrest members of a Salafi terrorist group after they claimed responsibility on the internet for shooting the rockets during Obama’s visit.

Hamas on Friday arrested two members of an Islamic jihadist organization in connection with in firing rockets from Gaza into southern Israel on Thursday, Israel Radio reported.

The report cites Gazan sources as saying Hamas arrested two members of the Salafi Magles Shoura al-Mujahddin organization, who yesterday claimed responsibility for firing rockets into Israel. In an Internet statement the group said it had fired the rockets to show that Israeli air defenses could not stop attacks on the Jewish state during Obama’s visit. Continue Reading »

Egyptian Security seizes arms shipment en route to Hamas via northern Sinai

Palestinian, Ma’an news agency cites Egyptian security official saying that captured truck held Katyusha rockets and high-grade explosives.

 

Egyptian forces seized a truck carrying arms en route to the northern Sinai, a report by Palestinian news agency Ma’an said on Tuesday, adding that the vehicle carried Grad-type katyusha rockets as well as high-grade weapons.

Clinton and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu made statements to the press shortly before they met one on one.

Two rockets fired from the Gaza Strip toward Jerusalem on Tuesday landed in the Gush Etzion area Tuesday, with one hitting an open area of a Palestinian village in the West Bank, police and the IDF reported. It was unclear if the rocket caused any damage or injuries, although AFP reported Palestinian paramedics were making their way to the scene.

IAF aircraft bombed the Gaza Strip’s soccer stadium on Sunday night, after long-range rockets were fired from the site towards Israel. The facility also served as a weapons cache, the IDF said.

The IDF said over 80 targets were attacked in the Strip overnight, including hidden launchers, tunnels and training camps. Great damage was caused to the terror organizations’ weapons depositories.

Terrorists in the Gaza strip renewed their fire Monday morning after a relatively quiet night on the Israeli front, setting off the red alerts in southern towns. A total of seven rockets landed in open fields outside Eshkol and Sha’ar Hanegev, causing no injuries or damage, Army Radio reported.

Found: Unexploded Rocket on Roof of Building

Apparently, the rocket had become fused with the tar on the roof, and defusing it would have required excessively moving it, which could have caused the missile to explode.
