New poll reveals: Majority of WB Palestinians support Hamas

Palestinians are “frustrated” with Israel, “They may turn to Hamas not because it’s Hamas, but because it’s the movement that opposes negotiations with Israel.”

 

The majority of Palestinians have said that they support Hamas’s response to the latest Israel-Gaza conflict, according to a new poll by a research center in Ramallah.

According to the 1200-person survey by the Arab World Research and Development Center, nearly 90 per cent of Palestinians living in the West Bank supported the terrorist organization’s bold response in comparison to that of Fatah. Continue Reading »

Video clip of new group: Third intifada has begun

Palestinians in the West Bank city of Hebron have distributed a video declaring the establishment of the “National Union Battalions,” which according to them will be jointly headed by members of Hamas, Fatah, Islamic Jihad and the Popular Front or the Liberation of Palestine as a means of consolidating the struggle against Israel.

Hamas holds 1st rally in West Bank after a 5 year ban

Following agreement between Hamas & Fatah, thousands of Hamas supporters rally in Nablus

Fatah rally will be held in Gaza in January.

Hamas held its first rally in the West Bank Thursday, after a five-year ban, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Islamist movement.

The movement’s green flags were prominent in the northern city of Nablus as thousands of people participated in the rally.

The rally was made possible after the Palestinian Authority lifted the ban enforced since June 2007 when Hamas fighters took over the Gaza Strip after a short battle with Fatah-backed security forces. Continue Reading »

Turkish daily reports: Abbas criticizes Mashaal for refusing to recognize Jewish State

Wrapping up visit to Turkey, PA president Abbas said he disagreed with Hamas leader’s statement, stressing Fatah-Hamas agreement stipulates a two-state plan.

Islamic Jihad has placed Israel on warning it will break the ceasefire on missile attacks if its leader is banned from entering Gaza.

Israel has been spared rocket and missile attacks since the Egyptian-mediated ceasefire took effect on November 21 after the IDF’s Pillar of Defense campaign and the Iron Dome anti-missile defense system pushed the de facto Hamas regime into a position of having to back down or face a massive ground incursion. Hamas has no intention of compromising with Israel, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Sunday at the start of the weekly cabinet meeting. Echoing comments made by President Shimon Peres earlier in the day, Netanyahu said Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal’s comments in Gaza over the weekend exposed “our enemies’ true face” once again.

Israel threatens to break ceasefire if Iranian terror leaders enter Gaza

Two members of Islamic Jihad, the Iranian-backed group had planned to visit Friday, along with the leader-in-exile of Hamas Khaled Meshal.

Israel’s Anti-Terror Campaign Nets Private Weapons Caché

The latest IDF anti-terror arrest in the Hevron region unveiled a sizable weapons & munitions storehouse in someone’s home.

The IDF has been stepping up its fight against Hamas in Judea and Samaria (Shomron) in wake of the recent open battle with Hamas in Gaza. Earlier this week troops went to arrest a terror suspect in Hevron and ended up finding a weapons warehouse in a private home.
