New poll reveals: Majority of WB Palestinians support Hamas

Palestinians are “frustrated” with Israel, “They may turn to Hamas not because it’s Hamas, but because it’s the movement that opposes negotiations with Israel.”

 

The majority of Palestinians have said that they support Hamas’s response to the latest Israel-Gaza conflict, according to a new poll by a research center in Ramallah.

According to the 1200-person survey by the Arab World Research and Development Center, nearly 90 per cent of Palestinians living in the West Bank supported the terrorist organization’s bold response in comparison to that of Fatah. Continue Reading »

Palestinians in the West Bank city of Hebron have distributed a video declaring the establishment of the “National Union Battalions,” which according to them will be jointly headed by members of Hamas, Fatah, Islamic Jihad and the Popular Front or the Liberation of Palestine as a means of consolidating the struggle against Israel.

Hamas holds 1st rally in West Bank after a 5 year ban

Hamas held its first rally in the West Bank Thursday, after a five-year ban, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Islamist movement.

The movement’s green flags were prominent in the northern city of Nablus as thousands of people participated in the rally.

The rally was made possible after the Palestinian Authority lifted the ban enforced since June 2007 when Hamas fighters took over the Gaza Strip after a short battle with Fatah-backed security forces. Continue Reading »

The IDF has been stepping up its fight against Hamas in Judea and Samaria (Shomron) in wake of the recent open battle with Hamas in Gaza. Earlier this week troops went to arrest a terror suspect in Hevron and ended up finding a weapons warehouse in a private home.
