Palestinian foreign minister Riyad al-Maliki is to arrive in The Netherlands later Monday ahead of talks with the chief prosecutor of the world’s only permanent war crimes court.

Maliki will meet with prosecutor Fatou Bensouda on Tuesday morning just over a week after 62 Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire as they protested the US decision to move its embassy from Tel Aviv to the disputed city of Jerusalem. Continue Reading »

Int’l Criminal Court warns Israel, Hamas over charges for 30 deaths in Gaza

The Chief Prosecutor in The Hague urges both Israel, Hamas to immediately end the violence since both could be held responsible for the deaths of Palestinian rioters, “The situation in Palestine is under preliminary examination by my office,” she warned.

The International Criminal Court at The Hague may prosecute Israel over the deaths of Arab rioters who clashed with IDF forces on the Gaza-Israel frontier over the past week and a half, a top ICC official warned Sunday.

Chief Prosecutor for the ICC Fatou Bensouda issued a statement Sunday demanding an end to the use of violence on the border between Israel and Gaza, and suggested that both Israel and the Hamas terror organization could be held responsible for the deaths of some 30 Arab rioters and terrorists killed since activists launched six weeks of violent protests on the frontier on March 30th. Int’l Criminal Court opens investigating on 2014 Gaza conflict, housing for Jewish families

Israel’s National Security Council warned that the Hague is planning to open an investigation on Israel’s actions during the 2014 Gaza conflict with Hamas and the construction of Jewish homes in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria.

The International Criminal Court in The Hague is planning on investigating Israeli leaders over construction in eastern Jerusalem, the expansion of Israeli towns in Judea and Samaria, as well as the 2014 conflict with Hamas, Operation Protective Edge.

According to a report by Channel 10 Monday evening, the Israeli National Security Council warned Israeli lawmakers in the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee that the international court is planning on opening an investigation later this year into the 2014 war with Hamas, as well Jewish housing projects in Judea and Samaria. PLO gorgon wants ICC investigate Israel on ‘Illegal Jewish Settlements’ policy

PLO Executive Committee member Hanan Ashrawi told an Arab news service that the PLO decided to submit an official request to the International Criminal Court in the Hague, to investigate “illegal Israeli settlement activity” and Israel’s “ongoing war crime” of “ethnic cleansing and racial segregation.”

The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) has decided to submit an official request to the International Criminal Court (ICC) to investigate what it calls “illegal Israeli settlement activity”, PLO Executive Committee member Dr. Hanan Ashrawi told the Ma’an news agency.

Israel decides to allow Palestinian autocrat Mahmoud Abbas cut Gaza’s electricity

 

Although Gaza’s 2 million residents are already receiving 3-4 hours of power a day, Israel abides by the Palestinian leader’s decision to cut the power, rather than having the Israeli public cover Gaza’s electricity bill.

Gaza’s militant Hamas rulers warned of renewed violence Monday if Israel acquiesces to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’ wishes and reduces its electricity supply to the isolated territory.

Human Rights Watch levels ultimatum to Israel over Gaza war-crimes investigation

 

HRW, known for its anti-Israel bias, accuses Israel of preventing its researchers for accessing Gaza and Egypt of preventing HRW representatives entry since 2008.

Human Rights Watch demanded on Monday that Israel allow its investigators into Gaza if it wants the International Criminal Court “to take seriously” Israel’s own war crimes investigations.

PA Abbas reports Palestinians turning to Int’l courts over Jewish expansion

 

Not specifying which of the courts the Palestinian leadership will turn to, the 2 major int’l courts which could deal with Israeli settlements are the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court.

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said on Tuesday that the Palestinian leadership plans to continue to confront Israeli settlements in international institutions, commenting on the Knesset’s passage of a law that legalizes settlement homes on private Palestinian land.

Palestinian rights activist at the Hague receives death threats

 

Dutch authorities confirmed they were investigating threats against a legal researcher at the Palestinian rights group Al-Haq, who says she’s received multiple death threats since the beginning of the year.

ICC Prosecutor: Israel is “exchanging information” in Gaza war crimes inquiry

ONE MORE TIME: Palestinians threatens to take Israel to the ICC

 

Once again the PA Foreign Ministry condemns Israel  from nationalizing the land in the Jordan Valley, calling on international support to sanction Israel.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has denounced Israel’s “extreme” decision to nationalize 2,343 dunams (2.343 square kilometers) of land in the Jordan Valley, saying that it is part of an effort to “spread out” in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria.
