Former envoy to peace talks Martin Indyk, suggests the US would be facilitator of a pro-Palestinian resolution that would “lay out & preserve the principles of a 2-state solution in the future.”

If a government emerges after the election that does not launch a diplomatic initiative or opposes a Palestinian state, Israel will likely face a UN Security Council resolution proposed by all permanent members designed to “lay out the principles of a two state solution,” Martin Indyk said Monday.

World Leaders Ignore History & Int’l Law to Appease the Arabs When Discussing the West Bank

For most around the world, every inch of land beyond the 1949 armistice lines is automatically Palestinian; a display of unfamiliarity with history & int’l law.

Time to learn the facts about Judea & Samaria.

By ODED REVIVI

The recent furor surrounding the government’s decision to declare nearly 1,000 acres at Gvaot in Gush Etzion “State Land” is a classic example of the ignorance of history and law that governs most discussions of Israeli actions beyond the internationally hallowed “Green Line.” Media headlines around the world screamed about “annexation” and “land grab,” the Palestinian Authority declared it a “crime” and foreign ministries around the world have demanded the reversal of the decision. Right-wing MKs called on the government Wednesday to annex about 90 Jewish settlements built on West Bank land, with one of them saying it was retaliation for the collapse of peace talks with the Palestinians a month ago.

While Israel has built dozens of enclaves since capturing the land in the 1967 Six Days, it has not applied its law to the territory other than near East Jerusalem, which it annexed as part of its capital in a move never recognized internationally. Continue Reading »
