A source who was present at the Fatah revolutionary council meeting told i24NEWS that Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas is suffering from health issues, once again sparking questions over who will succeed the Palestinian leader, slated to turn 83 years old at the end of the month.

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas will be replaced by his deputy, Mahmoud al-Aloul, if he becomes unable to fulfill his duties, Fatah’s Central Committee decided in Ramallah on Saturday.

According to Palestinian media outlets, Fatah’s Central Committee decided that should Abbas, 82, were unable to continue in his role, al-Aloul will be appointed “acting president of Palestine for a period of three months until elections can be held.” Continue Reading »

Palestinian autocrat Abbas repeats: Jerusalem is only Arab, Islamic & Christian

While reiterating how Palestinian hands are extended to peace, which will be achieved through negotiations, PA chairman refuses to:
1) Negotiate with Israel following Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital,
2) Refuses the United States as an integral negotiation facilitator,
3) Refuses to drop Jerusalem as their capital,
4) Demands the return of 5 million “refugees” to Israel.

Amb. Nikki Haley spotlights Abbas’ lack of courage in achieving Peace with Israel

WATCH Video:  US Ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley articulated how Jordan’s previous monarch, King Hussein, as well as Egypt’s President Anwar Sadat had the courage to seek peace for their people, but Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas has for decades, used only “hate-filled speeches and end-runs around negotiations,” that only guaranteed a continuing conflict.

Palestinian Authority (PA) chairman Mahmoud Abbas, who is also the leader of Fatah and of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), on Sunday delivered his annual speech marking the start of the “revolution” that began on January 1, 1965.

Both despots self proclaimed ‘Presidents for Life’ of Fatah, PLO and Palestinian Authority

In his speech, Abbas presented the following red lines:

  1. “There will be no solution except for one based on international resolutions, headed by the UN General Assembly Resolution 19/67, approved on November 29, 2012, UN Security Council Resolution 2334 of 2016, resolutions of the National Councils and the Arab Peace Initiative, all of which confirm the establishment of a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders whose capital is east Al-Quds.”

Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, on Wednesday criticized the statement by Palestinian Authority (PA) chairman Mahmoud Abbas.

“The Palestinian Authority is doing all it can to avoid any chance for negotiations and is actively thwarting initiatives towards reconciliation,” Ambassador Danon said.
