The IDF has published photographic evidence of the use of human shields by Hamas.

In a screenshot of a television broadcast from July 8, civilians gather on the roof of the home of a Hamas terrorist who was targeted by the IDF. They did so in order to act as human shields and deter an imminent IDF attack, explained the military blog.

Despite the sirens and loud explosions heard throughout central Israel, a group of 64 American Jewish immigrants landed in Israel on Tuesday, Ynet News reported.

The immigrants came from the American states of Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Virginia, will be moving to the Israeli cities of Beit Shemesh, Givat Shmuel, Hadera, Jerusalem, Karmiel, Modiin, Nes Tziona, Ra’anana, Ramat Beit Shemesh, Ramat Gan, Tel Aviv and Beersheba. Egypt & United States, past cease-fires brokers, unable to help this time

Those countries that helped Israel & Hamas end previous conflicts may not be able, or eager to do so now.

 

WASHINGTON (JTA) — Escalations between Hamas and Israel are nothing new. What’s missing this time, analysts say, is the alignment of outside interests that has resolved such fights in the past.

Egypt’s government lacks the influence over Hamas of its predecessors and the United States is in hand-washing mode on the Middle East, said Ami Ayalon, a former chief of the Shin Bet, Israel’s internal security service.

“In the past, Egyptians could play a major role and America had an interest” in pressing for cease-fires, Ayalon told JTA.

Jordan, one of just two Arab countries to have signed a peace treaty with Israel, on Wednesday demanded an immediate halt to deadly Israeli air raids in Gaza, raids it called “barbaric.” Similar comments were made by Iran, a Hamas ally.

Hamas naval commander +3 eliminated by IAF surgical airstrike

In #OperationProtectiveEdge, IAF strikes homes belonging to Hamas official that are used as command & control centers.

 

In a joint IDF-Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) operation, the air force struck a vehicle containing a commander of Hamas’s naval commando unit, Muhammad Sa’aban, aged 24 on Tuesday.

Palestinian media reported that four Hamas people in total were killed in the targeted strike on the vehicle.

Sa’aban’s commando unit operated in northern Gaza, security forces said. He was immediately killed in the strike. Sa’aban was a resident of Jabalia in Gaza. Continue Reading »

The security cabinet has voted to call up some 40,000 reservists in preparation of a possible ground operation in Gaza Strip as part of Operation Protective Edge, hours after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the military to “take off the gloves” in its confrontation with Hamas.

BBC Report: Palestinian supporters using false images on Twitter #OperationProtectiveEdge

The BBC has reported that many of the photos are not from the present Gaza conflict & many others are taken from Iraq or Syria conflicts.

 

The BBC has warned that Palestinians in Gaza and their supporters are using false images on Twitter to garner sympathy for their cause.

Many of the images that supposedly show Gaza under bombardment over the past week are neither current nor from Gaza, the global news organization wrote.

“Some of the images are of the current situation in Gaza,” the BBC said, “but a #BBCtrending analysis has found that some date as far back as 2009 and others are from conflicts in Syria and Iraq.” Continue Reading »

Israel airstrike on central Gaza killed an Islamic terrorist named Ashraf Yassin.

An Israeli air strike on central Gaza killed a Palestinian Arab man on Tuesday, an emergency services spokesman said.

 

“A man named Ashraf Yassin was killed in an Israeli air strike west of Nusseirat refugee camp in central Gaza,” spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra told AFP.

Witnesses said the man was a terrorist from the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamist Hamas movement.
