Hamas Terrorist Killed In Tunnel ‘Malfunction’

 

Despite reports suggesting that some 400 subterranean Gaza laborers, including 160 children, have died in other Hamas ‘tunnel malfunctions’, the Islamic terrorist group vowed to continue building tunnels & carry out operations against Israel.

A member of the al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’ military wing, was killed on Saturday after an accident occurred in one of the Islamist organization’s tunnels in the Gaza Strip.

According to Maan news, the group confirmed the identity of the man as Anwar Faraj al-Ghalban, 23, from Khan Younis, but refrained from revealing the circumstances of the accident, stating only that their members were doing their best to build more tunnels and make preparations for the group’s next confrontation with Israel. Hamas Terrorist Dies When Gaza Terror Tunnel Collapses

Hamas ‘armed wing’ reported one of their members died after collapse of ‘resistance tunnel,’ with source revealing ‘work-accident’ occurred during terror activities.

A member of the Al-Qassam, the “armed wing” of the Hamas terrorist organization, died Friday when an attack tunnel he was in collapsed in Gaza near the Israeli border, Hamas and medical sources said.

The sources did not say why the tunnel, located in eastern Shejaiya in northern Gaza, collapsed, according to AFP.

IDF unveils newly developed technique for demolishing terror tunnels

Anticipating Hezbollah using terror tunnels in the event of another war, the IDF is conducting special training for detonating tunnel openings & has developed new underground communication equipment.

Less than a year after operations to destroy tunnels built by Hamas, the IDF has been training extensively to prepare for the possibility of similar structures being used by Hezbollah. Sources in the IDF estimate that the Shiite organization will, like Hamas, exploit the advantages of underground tunnels and attempt to kidnap soldiers.

While there has been no specific intelligence pointing to digging of tunnels beyond the northern border, it is believed that Hezbollah will, in the event of a third war in Lebanon, use tunnels against IDF soldiers conducting maneuvers in Lebanese territory. Continue Reading »

Egypt destroys 1,200 meter-long Hamas terror tunnel beneath Gaza’s border

 

Terror-tunnel reportedly had lighting & ventilation systems installed, as well communication lines connected to operation centers, which allowed the Egyptian & Palestinian operators to coordinate their transactions.

Egyptian security forces recently discovered a 1.2 kilometer (0.75 mile) long tunnel near Rafah under the border between the Sinai Peninsula and Gaza Strip that was used to smuggle weapons, fuel, food and other consumer goods.

According to Palestinian news agency Maan, which cited a senior Egyptian security official, the tunnel opening was discovered in a bedroom in a house on the Egyptian side of Rafah.

5 IDF Soldiers Killed When Terrorists Attempted to Infiltrate into Israel

5 Israeli soldiers were killed when Hamas terrorists breached the border via a Gaza terror-tunnel on Monday. The deaths of the 5 soldiers brings the total killed Monday at 10.

A 6th soldier prevented the abduction of one of the bodies.

None of 160 children killed digging tunnels for Hamas were investigated by Gaza Police

Tunnels that lead into Israel & Egypt and dug using children’s “nimble bodies” were never stopped by police in Gaza, despite having over 160 fatal ‘work accidents’.

Hamas used children to help them dig numerous tunnels into Israel and Egypt, a 2012 paper written for the Journal of Palestine Studies reported.

The paper, titled Gaza’s Tunnel Phenomenon: The Unintended Dynamics of Israel’s Siege says that little had been done to stop the phenomenon of child labor during the digging the tunnels by Hamas in Gaza.

2 IDF soldiers killed in ambush by Hamas tunnel infiltrators

Sgt. Adar Barsano, 20, of Nahariya and Maj. Amotz Greenberg, 45, of Hod HaSharon were killed and two other soldiers were injured, when Hamas terrorists entered Israel through a smuggling tunnel.

Hamas source says 6 Palestinians killed in tunnel explosion were their fighters planning a ‘significant’ operation against Israel.

A senior military source said that the Palestinians killed overnight Sunday in the Gaza Strip were Hamas members “who were in the tunnel with explosives” and that “the tunnel was intended for a significant terror attack with special infrastructure and an anti-soldier force.”

Egypt security officials arrests 15 ISIS militants that entered Sinai via Gaza tunnels

After tracking militant cell crossing from Gaza through tunnels at Rafah, Egyptian special forces arrest 15 militants.

Egyptian special forces tracked and arrested a terrorist cell which had used tunnels to cross from Gaza into the Sinai Peninsula, Ma’ariv reported on Saturday. The 15 militants arrested belong to the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

Further interrogation of the cell by Egyptian forces revealed that the group’s intent was to relay messages and set up terrorist cells for the ISIS in Egypt, to fight the Egyptian government.

GAZA CITY – An explosion killed six members of Izzadine al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, in a tunnel under the Israeli border Thursday, Palestinian officials said.

“Five martyrs were killed in a resistance activity in Saghira neighborhood” in eastern Gaza City, the local Hamas information office said, without elaborating. Later a Hamas official confirmed six men had been killed.

Senior IDF sources confirmed to Arutz Sheva Friday that the Hamas terror tunnel making its way through the media is not only new – contrary to Hamas’s claims – but highly advanced.

“The tunnel exposed this week is the longest and most elaborate revealed to date,” the official stated. “We found tools, generators and additional equipment which indicates that it was being used in the past several days.”
