Cleared for Publication: Officer From Elite IDF Unit Killed Deep Inside Gaza

The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said in a statement, “During IDF special forces’ operational activity in Gaza, an exchange of fire broke out, during which an IDF officer was killed and an additional IDF officer was moderately injured.”
– The commander of the Al-Qassam Brigades, 6 other terrorists killed and 7 were wounded during the military operation.

An IDF soldier from an elite unit was killed on Sunday night during an operation in the Gaza Strip.

Another soldier was injured and evacuated to the Soroka Hospital in Be’er Sheva. Their families have been notified.

Palestinian charged with attempting to smuggle diving equipment to Hamas

A Gaza merchant charged with attempting to illegally smuggle diving equipment to Hamas’ military wing, Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades via the Kerem Shalom checkpoint to Gaza.

Gaza merchant was charged Sunday with an attempt to illegally smuggle diving equipment through Kerem Shalom checkpoint to an armed wing of Hamas. The indictment stated that he tried to smuggle diving equipment into the Gaza strip illegally and to sell it to the military wing of Hamas and that he transferred large quantities of sports equipment to the Hamas military wing.

After an Egyptian court on Saturday banned the armed wing of Palestinian group Hamas and listed it as a terrorist organization, a source close to the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades said the decision ruled Egypt out as a mediator between Israel and the Palestinians.

Embedding another year of military indoctrination of Gaza’s teenage population, Hamas’ official terror summer-camp set to host some 100,000 children this summer.

Hamas in Gaza Strip showcased Thursday their annual summer-camp for Gaza children, inviting journalists to take pictures of the different activities offered to the strip’s youths.

However, instead of classrooms and swimming lessons, the camp boasts military training facilities and uniform-clad children and teens.

The terror camp will host roughly 100,000 children aged 12-16 for seven days a week, three hours a day, Al-Monitor reported. The kids don camouflage fatigues and green berets, and are instructed by some forty members of Hamas’ military wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades. Continue Reading »

GAZA CITY – An explosion killed six members of Izzadine al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, in a tunnel under the Israeli border Thursday, Palestinian officials said.

“Five martyrs were killed in a resistance activity in Saghira neighborhood” in eastern Gaza City, the local Hamas information office said, without elaborating. Later a Hamas official confirmed six men had been killed.

A security source told AFP the “accidental explosion” happened “inside of an Al-Qassam Brigades tunnel, which collapsed on some 12 members.” Continue Reading »

IDF discovers Hamas terrorist tunnel near Gaza security fence

 

Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’ military wing, announced they were successful in repairing the tunnel that the IDF exposed several months ago.

The IDF discovered a terror tunnel on Thursday near the Gaza Strip border fence, it was cleared for publication. However, Hamas denied the announcement, saying the army found an “old” tunnel.
