Haley accuses Hamas of exploiting children to incite confrontations with IDF

US Ambassador Nikki Haley lashed out at Hamas Thursday, accusing the Palestinian movement of “using children as cannon fodder,” after dozens of people were shot dead by Israeli troops during weeks of clashes in the Gaza Strip.

Israeli forces have killed 41 Palestinians, including two journalists and several children, since the protests began on March 30 near the Gaza-Israeli border fence.

Hamas Bars Gaza War Orphans from Visiting Israel

Shin Bet approved field-trip for Gaza’s orphans to visit Israel and the PA, to experience what life is outside of the Strip, but Hamas forbids attempt at ‘normalization.’

Hamas on Sunday prevented dozens of children orphaned during its 50-day war with Israel from entering Israeli territory in a pre-arranged trip, organizers and officials said – despite Israel making the effort to allow the children to visit.

The week-long visit was planned for 37 children whose parents were killed by Israel in the Gaza Strip in July and August this year. It was organized by an Israeli kibbutz group and local Arab-Israeli officials.

None of 160 children killed digging tunnels for Hamas were investigated by Gaza Police

Tunnels that lead into Israel & Egypt and dug using children’s “nimble bodies” were never stopped by police in Gaza, despite having over 160 fatal ‘work accidents’.

Hamas used children to help them dig numerous tunnels into Israel and Egypt, a 2012 paper written for the Journal of Palestine Studies reported.

The paper, titled Gaza’s Tunnel Phenomenon: The Unintended Dynamics of Israel’s Siege says that little had been done to stop the phenomenon of child labor during the digging the tunnels by Hamas in Gaza.

UN: Israel tortures Palestinian children & uses them as shields

A United Nations human rights body accused Israeli forces on Thursday of mistreating Palestinian children, including by torturing those in custody and using others as human shields.

Palestinian children in the Gaza and the West Bank, captured by Israel in the 1967 war, are routinely denied registration of their birth and access to health care, decent schools and clean water, the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child said.

“Palestinian children arrested by (Israeli) military and police are systematically subject to degrading treatment, and often to acts of torture, are interrogated in Hebrew, a language they did not understand, and sign confessions in Hebrew in order to be released,” it said in a report. In a somewhat unorthodox summer camp in the Gaza Strip, children aged between six and 16 picked up AK-47s and engaged in a series of quasi-military drills, including a lively game of “kidnap an Israeli soldier” in the sand dunes of Rafah.

Kids from Gaza taught to use rocket launchers

Gaza schools are providing military training to teenage boys, teaching them how to fire rocket launchers, Kalashnikov assault rifles and other weapons, The Guardian reported on Sunday.

Members of Hamas’s Izzadin Kassam brigades assist in the training, according to Gaza’s Ministry of Education website. They also teach schoolboys first aid, firefighting and “the values of discipline and responsibility,” the Guardian reported.

According to the Guardian, the school curriculum is supplemented with voluntary camps during school breaks where the boys get further training in handling guns and explosives.

‘Anonymous’ Proudly Disables Website for Children with Cancer

The int’l hackers’ group ‘Anonymous’ prides itself on repeatedly bringing down ‘Larger than Life’s’, a website aimed to help children with cancer .

The hackers’ group Anonymous said Saturday that its planned attack on Israel has begun and will intensify Sunday. One of its prime targets is a website for an NGO that assists children with cancer.

The group announced that 19,000 Israeli Facebook accounts have already been hacked. In addition it said, personal details of students from Haifa University have been compromised, as have hundreds of passwords to Israeli email accounts.

Several dozen sites belonging to Israeli NGOs have been damaged, the web vandals claimed, including that of Larger than Life, and NGO for children with cancer. Continue Reading »
