Shots Fired at IDF from Syria Border…Again

IDF assessment was that the gunfire was spillover from fighting between Syrian forces & rebels. No one is hurt.

IDF soldiers carrying out routine security assignments along the border with Syria reported that shots were fired in their direction from the Syrian side of the border Monday morning.

No one was reported hurt in the incident.

The IDF’s general assessment is that the gunfire is spillover from the fighting in Syria, between forces loyal to President Bashar Assad and rebels.

There have been several incidents of fire from Syria hitting Israel in the last few months, including mortar shells. Continue Reading »

14 Muslim Clerics from 10 counties including the PA, to visit Auschwitz

Islamic clerics will visit Nazi’s Auschwitz death camp as part of an anti-genocide, Holocaust awareness program.

Fourteen Muslim clerics from around the world will visit the former Nazi German Auschwitz death camp in southern Poland next week as part of a Holocaust awareness and anti-genocide program, organizers said Friday.

CIA Director John Brennan makes unpublicized visit to Israel

Brennan & Israel’s defense minister, Moshe Yaalon, talked about Israel’s intent to continue striking shipments of advanced weapons destined to Hezbollah from Iran or even Syria.

JERUSALEM — CIA director John Brennan made an unannounced visit to Israel to discuss the situation in Syria.

Brennan and Israel’s defense minister, Moshe Yaalon, in their meeting Friday reportedly compared intelligence assessments on Syria and its two-year civil war. They also talked about Israel’s intent to continue striking shipments of advanced weapons destined for Hezbollah from Iran via Syria.

Syria has threatened to strike back at Israel the next time it strikes a weapons system on its soil, Britain’s Sunday Times reported.   Continue Reading »

Hamas confiscates Fatah’s rockets in Gaza

Hamas arrests Aqsa Martyrs Brigade activists in Gaza and took possession of at least a 100 rockets and other assorted weaponry.

Hamas has confiscated rockets and other types of weaponry belonging to Fatah’s armed wing, Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, Palestinian sources revealed Sunday.

The sources told the Fatah-affiliated Palestine Press News Agency that Hamas confiscated 100 rockets and 500 “combat units” when Fatah tried to move them from one location to another in the Gaza Strip.

France in talks with Israel to acquire IDF drones

France is in talks with the United States and Israel to buy intelligence-gathering drones to build up a modern fleet, Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said on Sunday.

France’s existing hardware is outdated and its military intervention in Mali this year has exposed its shortage of surveillance drones suitable for modern warfare. The United States provided French commanders with intelligence from its drones based in Niger.

Large hole cut into Gaza’s security fence discovered

 

The Company commander in charge of the area of the northern Gaza Strip will be court-martialed for the ‘operational error’.

According to the British newspaper, reconnaissance satellites have been monitoring preparations by the Syrian army to deploy surface-to-surface Tishreen missiles.

Arabs Sneak Through Jerusalem Security Wall

Dozens of Arab men held a protest Friday against the security barrier that runs between Abu Dis and Jerusalem.

As part of the protest, the men took large hammers and created a gaping hole in the wall. Several men used the hole to enter Jerusalem without going through a security checkpoint.
