A Hamas unmanned aerial drone was shot down by a Patriot missile battery on Monday morning over the coastal city of Ashdod.

The drone took off from the Gaza Strip and flew north before being intercepted.

IDF Soldier shoots dead a Palestinian targeting Israeli vehicles near Hebron

Israel’s army says the dead roadside-terrorist was among a group of 3 throwing stones & firebombs at Israeli cars near Hebron, and has ordered an investigation into the incident.

Early on Monday morning IDF forces shot and killed a Palestinian near Hebron who was part of a group throwing firebombs and stones at passing Israeli drivers.

The incident occurred west of the village of Samu near Hebron.

Israel’s Leviathan gas field reported 16% larger than previous estimate

Shares in Leviathan partner companies rallied Sunday in Tel Aviv trading upon release of report. Field worth $2.9 billion – $4.4 billion more.

The size of natural gas reserves in Israel’s Leviathan offshore natural-gas field is 16.4% bigger than previously estimated, partners in the field said on Sunday.

Based on an updated analysis by consultant Netherland Sewall & Associates, the reserves’ “best estimate” was increased to 21.93 trillion cubic feet (620 billion cubic meters) from 18.91 tcf. The high estimate was raised by 10% to 26.52 tcf, while the low estimate was increased by 11% to 16.58 tcf.

A pro-Israel rally came under attack Sunday night outside the Federal Building in Westwood, Los Angeles – the latest in a worrying string of similar instances in the US and Europe.



More than 2,000 supporters of Israel were demonstrating peacefully against terrorist rocket fire from the Gaza Strip, and in support of the Jewish state’s measures to defend itself, when witnesses say four men in a pickup truck launched a violent assault, according to the Jewish Journal. UN REPORT: Israel doing utmost to prevent civilian casualties in Gaza

United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs’ report confirms that Jerusalem is doing everything it can to prevent civilian casualties in Gaza, while Hamas gov’t in Gaza does the opposite.

A United Nations report has confirmed that Israel is doing its utmost to avoid collateral damage in the Gaza Strip while fighting an enemy that uses its civilian population as a human shield.

The situation report published by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) notes that while Israel has carried out over 900 strikes against Gaza, the majority of civilian casualties resulted from the specific targeting of a few dozens homes either belonging to senior Hamas terrorists, or which were used by the group to hide missiles and other weapons. Lebanon Rockets Hit Israel’s Northern Border for Third Time

 

IDF responds to set of rockets with artillery fire, after ‘Code Red’ siren sounds in Shlomi and Nahariya again. This incident marks the 3rd time rockets from Lebanon pounded Israel since Friday.

Code Red sirens sounded in Nahariya, Shlomi and other communities in the Western Galilee at 00:26 on Sunday, after two rockets were launched toward Israeli territory, apparently from Lebanon. The rockets exploded in open areas and there were no reports of injuries or damage.

Seventy thousand Gazans from Khan Younis and Deir el-Balah were in the dark Sunday night after a Hamas rocket hit the power line that supplies electricity to those places. It’s not clear when Israel Electric Company workers will be able to repair the system, but they are apparently in no rush to do so. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has asked the IEC not to risk the lives of its employees in trying to restore power to the affected sector in Gaza, an operation that could take hours. A firebomb was hurled at a synagogue near Paris, part of a string of anti-Semitic incidents in Western Europe coinciding with Israel’s assault on Hamas in Gaza.

The firebomb went off Friday night at the entrance to the synagogue of Aulnay-sous-Bois, a northeastern suburb of the French capital, according to the National Bureau for Vigilance Against Anti-Semitism, or BNVCA. No one was hurt and the fire resulted in minor damage, Le Monde reported.

Israel Navy Commandos Enter Gaza & Successfully Destroy Long-Range Rocket Site

Four special-unit soldiers with light injuries were evacuated to hospital for treatment.

Over a 100 Gaza rockets fired over weekend.

 

 

Israel Navy commandos raided a facility from which Hamas fired many long-range rocket at Israeli cities, the IDF said early Sunday. During the raid, the commandos were shot at by Hamas gunmen, and returned fire. “The facility was hit and damaged,” the army said.

Four commandos sustained light injuries during the special operation. They have been evacuated to a hospital in Israel.

Holland tells Palestinians: Stop paying convicted terrorists’ pensions & salaries

The Dutch parliament passed a motion calling for an end to salaries that the Palestinian Authority pays to terrorists.

The motion, which passed unanimously, was supported by the 148 lawmakers who voted on the motion. The Dutch lower house, or the Tweede Kamer, has 150 members.

Jerusalem Guard Foils Terrorist Attack at Mahane Yehuda Market

Guards prevented a young Palestinian male from stabbing someone at Jerusalem’s Mahane Yehuda open air market.

Alert guards on Jerusalem’s Light Rail line thwarted an attempted stabbing Sunday morning, at the heavily-traveled Mahane Yehuda open air market.

A guard saw a young Arab male behaving in what was said to be a suspicious manner and questioned the individual, according to the 0404 website.

The suspect then pulled a knife, possibly a utility blade on the guard.

The guard, who apparently evaded the sudden stabbing attempt, wrestled the suspect to the ground and was quickly joined by other guards, who subdued the suspect. Continue Reading »

PA Official: Israel Follows Int’l Law, Palestinians Don’t

Appointed Palestinian envoy to the UN Human Rights Council says on Palestinian TV, that while all the Gaza rockets are ‘crimes against humanity’, the Israeli strikes are legal.

The Palestinian Authority’s envoy to the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) has said the PA has no hope of pressing charges against Israel in international courts – because Palestinian terrorist groups are far worse violators of international law themselves.

Since peace talks between Israel and the Palestinian Authority fell apart after the PA applied for membership in international agencies, many Palestinian factions and advocates have pushed for the PA to sign the Rome Statute and press charges against Israel in the International Criminal Court at the Hague (ICC). Lebanon Fires Two Katyusha Rockets at Israel’s Western Galilee

The IDF confirmed that two rockets were fired from Lebanon towards northern Israel and landed in open areas north of Nahariya on Saturday night. Rocket alert sirens sounded in the area of the attack in Nahariya and Shlomi.
