The reports on the working conditions for Ashdod Port workers are doing their bit, it would seem: 3,000 candidates applied within a few days for the 45 new stevedore slots at the port.

Preparations are being made to continue transporting the few remaining Jews from Yemen to Israel.

Facebook last week closed for 24 hours the account of the Jerusalem Post’s Arab affairs reporter Khaled Abu Toameh, for what it said was “security reasons.” The account was opened one day later with two posts critical of corruption in the Palestinian Authority and in Jordan removed. In Ramallah, 18 Palestinians injured in riot, 3 protesters & 15 Palestinian cops injured in clashes after protest gets out of control when Palestinian security forces turned their guns on the protesters.

Palestinian security forces shot and injured three Palestinian youths during a riot that broke out in the al-Am’ari refugee camp in Ramallah on Sunday. The extent of their wounds wasn’t immediately clear.

Yesh Atid Party’s Chief: All I Want, is to be Rid of the Arabs

Yair Lapid, the head of the Yesh Atid party, explained Sunday that he has no expectations from negotiations with the Arabs.

“I do not think that the Arabs want peace,” he wrote on his Facebook page.

Lapid said that he does not care what the Arabs want. “What I want is not a new Middle East, but to be rid of them and put a tall fence between us and them.” The important thing, he added, is “to maintain a Jewish majority in the Land of Israel.” Continue Reading »

Egypt Security busts massive explosives caché headed for Gaza, largest one yet

Truck carrying a full ton of explosives, the largest single haul discovered by Egyptian Police, was intercepted.
A total of 5 tons of explosives as well as disassembled rockets & automatic weapons were seized in the past 3 months, according to local media reports.

Bedouins & Jews Charged with Planning Terror Strike

2 Jews are accused of supplying stolen explosives to a pair of Arab brothers who planned a rocket strike against Israel.

Two Bedouin Arabs and two Jewish accomplices have been charged with planning a terror rocket strike on Israel.

The Shin Bet and the Negev Central Unit of the Israel Police arrested two Bedouin brothers, Mahmoud Abu Quidar, 25, and Sameh Abu Quidar, 22, in recent weeks. The two have admitted to being in contact with terror elements in Gaza and abroad, preparing explosive charges and attempting to build rockets for launching at Israel.

Two additional suspects in the case are Jewish Israeli citizens, one of them an IDF soldier, who supplied the main suspects with weapons stolen from the IDF, which were used in preparing the explosive charges. Continue Reading »

Egypt Begins To Round Up Undocumented Palestinians

EL-ARISH, Egypt (Ma’an) — A Sinai security chief said Sunday that Egypt had detained ten Palestinians entering illegally from Gaza in the past three days, and would act to round up all Palestinians without permission to enter the country.

A Palestinian singer in a suit and tie performed in a packed auditorium for a Fatah event, sweeping the audience with enthusiasm as he sang a song that promised “to stand behind Abu Mazen [PA President Mahmoud Abbas] until Judgment Day and return to our pure soil from Rafah to Rosh Hanikra and Beit She’an, from Haifa to Tantura [Dor Beach] and the borders of the Jordan Valley.”
