With Talleen Abu Hanna, a 21 yr-old Catholic Arab from Nazareth winning the Jewish State’s first ‘Miss Trans Israel’ transgender beauty pageant, she will now go to Spain where she’ll represent Israel at the ‘Miss Trans Star International’ pageant in August.

Liberman Blasts South Africa For Hypocritical Attacks

Israel’s Foreign Minister Liberman fires back, reminding South Africa that just days after attacking & killing foreign immigrants, calling Israel “apartheid regime”, is not only inaccurate, it’s hypocritical as well.

Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman slammed South Africa on Friday, after the country’s communist party labeled Israel an “apartheid state”.

The South African Communist Party’s (SACP) statement came after Israel refused to grant an entry visa to the party’s Higher Education Minister, Blade Nzmande, to visit Palestinian Authority-controlled territories.

Justice Salim Jubran (pictured) is a Christian Arab who grew up in the north of Israel. In 2004, he became the first Israeli Arab to be appointed a permanent seat on the Supreme Court.

Earlier this year, he was given the daunting task of overseeing all those hot-button, contentious and touchy election issues like who gets campaign funding, preventing voter fraud and determining what constitutes fair play in the rock’em sock’em world of Israel’s political propaganda wars.

Anti-Israel Propaganda Delays South Africa’s Approval of Israeli Circumcision Device

The African National Congress and the Congress of South African Trade Unions, both supporters of the Boycott Divest Sanctions (BDS) campaign against Israel are boycotting the device since 2013.

The South African Department of Health reportedly is delaying approval of an Israeli-made circumcision device after political pressure from anti-Israel trade unions.

Prepex, a nonsurgical circumcising device developed in Israel, was approved last year by the World Health Organization. Studies show it reduces the likelihood of contracting the virus that causes AIDS by nearly 60 percent.

The boycott of the device began in 2013 by the Congress of South African Trade Unions, or Cosatu, and the African National Congress, both supporters of the Boycott Divest Sanctions campaign against Israel.

Leftist Haaretz journalist Amira Hass left offended after being forcefully expelled for being Jewish and attending a pro-Palestinian conference at Juderein Birzeit University.

Haaretz reporter was ejected from a pro-Palestinian conference at Birzeit University on Saturday, reporter Amira Hass said – simply for being an Israeli Jew.

Hass attempted to attend the “Alternatives to Neo-Liberal Development in the Occupied Palestinian Territories – Critical Perspectives” conference at the university, which is located near Ramallah where she lives.

But she was ejected from the hall by the organizers, Hass claimed, after students at the admission desk noted she worked for the Israeli publication and alerted security authorities to intervene. Continue Reading »

Desmond Tutu asks U.S. Christians to recognize Israel as apartheid state

At Presbyterian Church meeting in Detroit, veteran anti-Israel campaigner Desmond Tutu seeks to pass series of divestment resolutions.

 

Veteran anti-apartheid activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Desmond Tutu has called on the Presbyterian Church (USA) to pass a series of resolutions condemning Israel as an apartheid state and proposing policies to boycott it.

The church’s biennial General Assembly, which is currently meeting in Detroit, has on its agenda eight resolutions dealing with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Activists want the church and its institutions to use their investment dollars to punish Israel over its treatment of the Palestinians, such as by withdrawing investments from companies whose products are used by the Israeli government in the Palestinian territories.

Pet Shop Boys defend Tel Aviv concert

JERUSALEM — Pet Shop Boys singer Neil Tennant defended his band’s decision to play Israel amid pressure to cancel the June 23 concert.

The poster was created by the Britain-based pro-Palestinian group Innovative Minds.
