‘India condemns terrorism’ declares President Mukherjee during historic visit to Jewish State

 

The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee visits Yad Veshem with Israeli President Reuven Rivlin during his historic first visit to Israel.

Israel’s President Reuven Rivlin received the President of the Republic of India, Pranab Mukherjee, on the latter’s first state visit to Israel. In his greeting to the Indian leader, Rivlin mentioned the problems that both countries face in the security arena, saying: “We are working together to protect the security of both nations from terrorism and fundamentalism.”

Several Gulf States Attempting to Aquire Israel’s Iron Dome

 

In a deal that could be worth hundreds of billions of dollars, several Arab states are seeking to purchase the Israeli-developed anti-missile defense system, in defense to Iran’s growing arsenal, and regional agenda.

Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, and Kuwait are attempting to purchase the Israeli-developed Iron Dome missile defense system in light of the threat of Iran’s growing rocket arsenal, Sky News reported on Wednesday.

The deal’s scope, if it were to take place, is estimated to be tens, perhaps hundreds of billions of dollars.

According to the report, the six countries, members of the Gulf Cooperation Council, are conducting talks through American intermediaries, including Raytheon – which has worked with Israeli manufacturer Rafael and has helped market the Iron Dome system in the US. Continue Reading »

India displayed its Mideast juggling this week as the country’s foreign minister said in Egypt Tuesday that India continued to support the Palestinian cause, just days after an Indian naval warship docked at Haifa in what New Delhi said was a sign of the “robust” ties between the two states.

On October 15th, the largest container ship to ever dock at an Israeli port will enter Haifa Port. The immense Gustav Maersk is 367 meters in length and has a maximum capacity of 10,000 TEU.

A Dubai-based Internet company on Thursday announced that it would offer services in Israel, an unusual move given that the United Arab Emirates and Israel have no formal diplomatic or economic relations.

The company, travelauto.com, is an online marketplace for car rentals, allowing users to select from a variety of local car rentals through their web portal. India Reports Deal Soon To Be Sealed on Joint Missile Development With Israel

The Times of India reported Thursday morning that India and Israel are close to signing a deal on developing a joint missile system.

Israel and India are close to a deal on developing a joint missile system, the Times of India reported Thursday.

Negotiators had “virtually sealed” the deal for medium-range surface-to-air missile system (MR-SAM) missiles which the Indian Army will purchase from Israeli developers, including Israel Aerospace Industries. The manufacturing will mostly take part in India.

Over the past 15 years, Israel has sold over $10 billion in defense systems and arms to India making Israel “among the top defense suppliers to India,” the Times of India said.
